Update on me!
« on: September 23, 2008, 06:51:23 pm »
Hey everyone,
wow! I have not been on here in a while. Months probably, I think I am probably running from my HIV so to speak and not being on here every day lets me forget about it easier. Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know I am well, I am working on getting government help and new labs and such. I also am newly single. My boyfriend and I where together two years and he just was not happy any more. So I am trying to be strong on my own, which for me is very hard. But I am dealing with it. I am taking care of my grandma and Mother full time. My grandmother is paralyzed and my mother has been ill for years but just 3 weeks ago we found out she has very bad breast cancer so I am there for all that. Anyways I do not mean to sound "woe is me" but just wanted to update those of you that remember/know me your all very sweet. Here are two brand new pictures of me too.

Hey Cali, good to hear from ya!  I'm so sorry about your mum and grandmum.  You being willing to take care of them shows what a loving person you are.  Good luck getting gov't help; hope it comes through soon.  Keep us updated!
 Luv,
Betty

Cali,

As others have said, good to see you, and I'm sorry for family difficulties.

Let us know when you get the labs and hang in there.

That is quite a lot to take on but I'm sure they appreciate you like never before.

I've been helping my 86 YO parents for some time now, don't live with them but down on a weekly basis.  Dad's knee replacement surgery was REALLY difficult, I had to be caregiver, physical therapist, driver and financial advisor.  They really want me over someone they could hire.  My sister was out for the surgery and I really needed the help, taking her to the airport she said she had new respect for me and knowing how difficult it has been.  That was nice.

You do have to take advantage of any program that can give you help,  and most of all TAKE CARE of YOURSELF!!!
