Quick condom question
« on: October 30, 2006, 12:33:09 pm »
The fiance and I attempted safe sex last night. The problem was that although he stayed aroused he was having a hard time feeling anything. Any suggestions out there on condoms we can try? We are thinking about the female condom but they are wicked expensive. Keep in mind I am allergic to latex so it seems our options are limited. Need some help from the pros!

What about some stimulation before penetration or of areas other than the penis? A frank discussion with your parnter about areas of the body that cause arousal can greatly help. As much as guys like to think the world revolves around their dicks, there's alot of undiscovered country for us ;) What about trying new locations as well? Not that I'm implying you're making out in the bedroom with the lights off, but variety is the spice of life.

On the kinds of condoms available, perhaps your local pharmacist can recommend a brand or style that might better suit your desires and budget.

Hey.

My husband usually puts some lube inside the end of the condom before he puts it on...  helps provide more stimulation.

The female condoms are very expensive, but I found that when I called our local ASO ( ACT here in Toronto) they had a supply and were happy to give me some for free.   As the bottom I think they do not feel as good but it does allow me to surprise him every so often and he says they feel great on his end so I just keep switching it up.

Cheers

I will have to say my husband and I have tried many out there.  The one that we found that is the best is "Elexa".  It is made by trojan.  We get the one in the pink box, it is the one that says stimulating.  It is so close to the real thing, we love it!

Thanks for the suggestions! I will have to have him try the lube trick. Plus what is the ASO? I saw the Elexa's and will have to try those also.

ASO would be your local Aids Service Organization.  They might have the Female Condoms if you ask for them.
