Question for anyone

New to this site, checking out the info. Doc just prescribed Atripla and really do not want to take any meds cause of the side affects. Anyone Not taking meds and still ok. I have been Pos for 16yrs and Never taken anything now hadn't seen a md for over 7years, Healthy as a horse. My ex kept telling me to get my current labs and when I went I found out that I had 147 Tcell and 144,000 Viral. Not sure I want to take anything so sensitive to meds,(Prev antibiotics reaction). Anyone in the same predicument???

You can always take your chances and not take meds.  I'd say with 147 t-cells you'll be in a hospital bed all shriveled up like a deflated prune with loads of clear tubing going in and out of your nostrils.  My best friend just ended up like that and I must say it wasn't a very fetching look no matter how he tried to gussy it up with this season's Gucci.

Welcome san2scotts , Why not take the medicine and see how you feel . Most people tolerate Atripla just fine .You may have minimal side effects that will pass after a week or so if any .

Seems like you have much more to gain by trying to take medicine than by not . When I was in your position I took the pill and I'm very glad I did .

Mis Phillicia made an excellent statement! I've had this crap since 1991... if atripila was available in 1991 I would have fought for it!!! but, do what you want but, at 147 cd4's your on a rather short fuse till the dynamite explodes! and your system will be sooooooooo wreaked you'll have a difficult time to make a come back if your body is able too?
