doctors in Dallas, TX
« on: February 19, 2009, 11:58:39 am »
Hi, I have a friend who moved here to Dallas and he is not satisfied with Dr. Bellos.   He moved here to Dallas and had made several trips to see Bellos, and Bellos assured him that his pain meds would not be an issue.   NOW! that he moved here, Dr. Bellos refuses to give him pain medication.   So I am looking for any recommendations for doctors besides those at Amelia Court.   IS there any pain managment doctors or Hiv specialists (that have an excellent track record) that i could recommend.  Your help would be appreciated.

Wow ,  so sorry to hear Dr Bellos  has an unhappy customer...he saved my life in 1994 and has been a very aggressive and strong supporter since.....I have only had one or two occasions to need pain meds over all that time  but he certainly didn't hesitate to give them to me when I needed them.....  are you sure your friend isn't just looking for a legal "supplier"???

There is a long list of "pain specialists" in the Dallas directory..just depends on how far he wants to travel...
I know several people who use Amelia court  and have  had prescription pain meds from the Dr's there..is there a problem with that clinic???

If he is eligible for care at the VA clinic..they have some of the best Dr's  in the country....and have access to the latest trials and  meds pending approval  thru the Southwest Group of researchers....

Nick.....

My hubby uses Dr Louis Sloan @ Baylor Hosp.  He's the top rated doc in the HIV field in Dallas. He's a great doc but one of his downfalls is not treating the emotional side of the illness.

Give him a try...he's top notch!
