Yes, I have way too much time on my hands today...call off work.

I've been bumming through the poz.com personals and noticed that most of the guys in my area HATE
Country Western Music!

I mean come on...the stuff is GREAT!

I used to hate counrty myself but for awhile now there are a bunch of guys who don't sing with the twang, besides their great musiic most of them are really fun to drool over. Like Billy Currington, Gary Allan and Jake Owen, Joe Nichols and on and on and on........

I like all kinds of music, so that would include country. Except I hate the new Country-Pop or whatever, people like Garth Brooks and Toby Keith. <Snooze>
But Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Eddy Arnold...all those old guys are great!

Ok, I will admit I like some songs, like Charlie Daniels, The Devil went down to Georgia or something like that. I also liked Hank Williams Jr, I think he did, There's a tear in my beer and All my Exes Live in Texas, yeehaw!

But the one I really drool over is

Brad Paisley..I love his music and I love C&W.

Except for Patsy Cline or Johnny Cash I can't take country music- i find it too contrived. But strangely everyone but those two have the hottest asses. What do those guys do?

Ahh Reba, saw every concert when she was in NY (back in my country days). Even got to touch a bit of her hair (when it was HUGE) on her way to the stage!lol

And my woman crush was Wynona Judd! (most likely because I think she's a lesbian)

George Strait's Xmas album (New Kid in Town) is my favorite xmas song by him.

Raul Malo..now that's a voice, "I should have been true" and "Oh what a thrill" are just two of my favourites

Dixie Chicks are the best.."Travelling soldier" and "Taking the long way" are great songs.

"Hee Haw" made me think of Buck Owens, which in turn made me think of one of his protoges who I have to mention here:

Dwight Yoakum - Great artist who has a unique sound -- not the same old C/W. Love his cover of "I want you to want me"

So, Oh501sGuy, when are you gonna buy some Wranglers and ditch the 501s?

Remember, you must buy Wranglers that are one size too small for ya (it's the law -- at least here in Texas).

Heck...ol' Hee Haw itself deserves mention here! Looking back on it, I am amazed at the amount of country talent I got exposed to through that show.

..Henry I think you and I are on the same wave length...

I love Dwight..When we had our AMG in Toronto I missed his concert by one day...If i had know before i booked my ticket I would have stayed on a couple of extra days...I know he has made many Albums but the first one I bougth was Dwight Yoakum.."This Time".

Minnie Pearl...country comedian, mainstay of the Grand Ol' Opry and long-time featured star of 'Hee-Haw'. Known forever for her floral hat with the $1.98 tag still attached. Fascinating woman, actually...worth looking up.
