Well all I had my first Broad meeting it went good
I did suggest that we set up an orientation for new clients kind of a hiv 101 crash course somewhere that those new to this disease can get questions answered. meet others that are going through the same thing, so they wont feel so alone. they can find out about the services the hospital has. learn what CD4 vl and % are.  the board was actually really happy about the idea. so if it does really go into affect then I may have actually done something good and will improve some lives :) I guess alot of it is that I went through it and felt so alone and I just want to keep someone else from having to feel like that. shoot it may not even come to reality so I don't know why I'm all jazzed!!!!!

Hey 100P.B.

Great plan! I wish that there had been something like that when I was diagnosed 17 years ago. I was handed some pamphlets and some tissues and sent on my way. I had no clue how to even tell my partner at the time.... I lied and said everything was OK until we were about 5 blocks from the clinic when I broke down again and he figured it out. It was a very tough time for both of us, thank God we were both in the medical profession at the time so we were able to figure a lot out on our own.

I am so glad that things have changed since then and continue to change for the better.

WAY TO GO! ! !  !

I can't recall if you posted the background of this somewhere else (please forgive if you have) but who was this meeting with and for again?

BTW, even without knowing those details, I want to comment on this:

so if it does really go into affect then I may have actually done something good and will improve some lives

You've already accomplished that by starting the dialogue.  That's a big step for many.

Brandy, it always makes me feel better to help someone else.  I'm glad you're doing this.
