It's been awhile
« on: June 21, 2010, 01:13:18 am »
Hi everyone, it has been a few months since i have been on here. I am in Fl. now, we moved down here on the 2 of May. I wish i could say that everything is going great and that life couldn't be better. But that is not so. I am homeless, living with friends, can't get any help from any one here. I am happy i moved down here i just need a break. I have been looking for a place to live and some place that will help with the security deposits on rent and electricity. So far no help,If anyone knows of an organization or group or charity in the Tampa area that helps out the disabled or anyone with hiv/aids please let me know.
All i need is help with the deposits and i will be ok. One thing i am very happy  about is that my insurance and dr. and meds are all taken care of, my case manager in In. did a lot of that for me before i moved. So i am happy about that. I just need a break.
By the way did I say how wonderful Fl. is? I do love it here. I love going to the beach and just sitting there watching the water or boats and people. I feel so relaxed there.
Well so much for my rambling, Just wanted to stop by and say hi and see if anyone can help. Hope someone will remember me its  been awhile.

Hi Wendy,

Welcome to Florida...

If your in Pasco county, I am not sure if this link will help you.  This is for Pinellas County, but check it out, and see if there are phone numbers to call. If so, Maybe they can get you connected to assistance programs in Pasco County. It's worth a try :

Hey Wendy,

I remember when I first joined AM, and mentioned where I was from (South Bend, IN) how you pm'd me and told me about where you were living in IN.  Sorry you're having the problems you are now, but I'm sure things will work out.  Good to hear from you!
 Luv,
Betty

Thank you Alan,Mark and Betty, it is so nice to know that no matter what or how long that i can still come in here and know that i have friends. This little bug can make life pretty hard sometimes and knowing that i can come here and rant and rave and know that you all know what i am going thru and all it helps me out so much.
I found out this last week at the Dr. that the reason i am have trouble with getting help is because my counts are so good. Can you imagine that? Now if my counts were down i would get all kinds of help.
My Dr. did put me in contact with a lady in his office that is trying to get me a Case Manager and help getting into my own place.
Plus the problem with my older two boys has been taken care of and i have all three boys talking to each other and getting along, so there is still hope out there.
Thanks again for responding to this.

Love, Wendy
