First of all thank you for taking the time to read my concern. I apologize for being long and my graphic language. About 3 weeks ago I received oral sex from a Latin American CSW. I am of Indian (subcontinent) origin. This is what happened:

1. She put a condom on me; with her fingers inside the condom she stressed it wide to put it on me. I am not thick, but she put the condom that way anyway. I did not check if she damaged the condom that way.

2. She performed oral sex on me for about 2 minutes. This was bit rough oral as I could feel her teeth. I did not check if her teeth damaged/broke the condom

3. She then sat on the floor on her knees and I was standing with my penis in her mouth. I practically "did it” in her mouth, moving her head back and forth for another 2 minutes. This too was bit rough, and I did not bother to check if the condom was intact.

4. She then lied down on the bed and I proceed with fucking between her tits. At this point the condom was still on and seemed OK, EXCEPT THAT THE CONDOM TIP SEEMED LITTLE PINKISH. The condom itself was red/pink color.

5. I then took the condom off, continued with having sex between her tits, and came there. My cum did not seem quite white as other times. May be the light or something, it was bit off-white, little pinkish.

6. Then she wiped herself with paper towel. I too wiped my genital area with paper towel. Did not check if there was any blood or anything.

7. I then put my boxer and clothes on. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and to urinate. I checked the commode and there wasn't anything. But while I was peeing, I looked down on the commode and saw something that looked like blood. It was not spread, rather like a 1/4 inch wide and 2-inch long line. If it was blood and came with my urine then probably would be like a splash?? If it came with my semen, would it be like a wide line??

I immediate asked her if she was bleeding from her gum but she denied she bled. She insisted if it was blood then it's probably mine that came from my penis.

HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THAT INCIDENT:
1. After a few days I had a canker sore on the gum (hard part) of one tooth. This really freaked me out.

2. After about a week I had a second canker sore inside my lower lip. I got even more frightened. Btw - after a few days from the incident I started having night sweats. I had night sweat in the past, but this time it seemed more than usual.

3. After about 10 days of the incident, I came down with rashes on near my collar area, chest and where the breast bone is. They were about 2/3 mm wide; skin raised, dry, non-itchy and about 25 in numbers. They were in between my skin color and little pinkish/reddish. I am of Indian origin. I was also tired, sore muscle, few pimple/zits on the face, itchy scabies on the head etc. But most of these went away after a week.

NOW I AM VERY VERY SCARED. Now here are my questions:

Q1: Have you heard of guys bleeding after oral sex?

Q2: Does this sound like typical ARS symptoms?

Q3: I have read that oral sex is very very low risk. But what if it was her blood? Am I doomed? What if she injured my skin?

Q4: Are these ARS rash? I looked on the Internet to find some example of ARS rash. Couldn't find anything specific. Do you know what ARS rash look like?

Q5: Can you have ARS with rash only, no fever?

I am attaching a pic. My rashes were close to the ones circled, but little red than this.

Edited to remove photo. We don't want to see your rash. Take it to a doctor.

You were never at risk of contracting HIV condom or no condom.

Hi Rapid,

Thanks for your quick reply! My concern arised from the blood incident. Without blood I would not have worried at all. Besides, these odd rash, canker sore and others things and their timing really worries me. please note, it was a bit rough oral.

By the way, have you heard of any guys bleeding after oral sex?

The bottom line in all of this and bearing in mind all of the details you have presented, getting a blowjob is absolutely not a risk for HIV transmission. In the entire history of the epidemic no guy has even been confirmed to have been infected in that manner. Not one! And as you know it's a very, very common sexual act.

So no matter if there was blood, a nick or whatever else happened, still no risk.

If you have symptoms that continue to bother you, discuss them with your doctor. I know you're anxious and worried right now, but really, HIV is absolutely not an issue in relation to this incident. And still wouldn't have been even if you hadn't used a condom.

Sorry to be a pest. As for my situation:
1. I would not have been worried with a BJ if it wasn't for the blood
2. Secondly, I never had these types of rashes. The timing and how they appaered and went away really freaked me out. Not to mention the cancker sores, night sweats, sore muscle etc.

If you would kindly answer the following questions I would grealty appreciate it:
1. have you seen these types of rashes? If so, what are they called?
2. have you heard of rash only ARS?

As much as you would like me to be able to, we absolutely cannot diagnose symptoms here. For that you have to see a doctor. I can say that nothing you are reporting is in anyway HIV specific.

As for ARS, if symptoms appear noticeably, they all happen at the same time and a rash is only a part of them. It's a flat, non-itchy rash usually on the trunk and extremities.

And as far as I am concerned you are worrying needlessly about HIV.

Hi Andy/Rapid/Anna,

I have a quick question. I know you have been saying that saliva (hence oral sex) is not an efficient route of transmission. If the person performing oral sex was recently infected (say in ARS period), would her saliva have significant amount of the virus? During seroconversion people are much more infectious than asymptomic time. In that case, would her saliva be much more infectious than other time?

No her saliva would not have enough virus to infect. Saliva contain over a dozen different enzymes and proteins that INHIBIT HIV transmission.

Hi Andy/Rapid/Ann,

Sorry to come back again. Hope you are doing well. I have a question for you.

In the first month of the incident I lost about 5 lbs. Now I have gained about 10 lbs just in last month alone. My waistline went up, so did my belly. I look bloted there. Is this an early sign of infection? Do people loose and gain weigth like this after infection? Any deatils would be greatly appreciated.

DRK, you didn't do anything that put you at risk for HIV transmission. Period.

Weight changes, either up or down, are something you should be discussing with your doctor. They are not in anyway something to be interpreted as HIV-related. No matter what scenarios your mind may come up with, HIV is not your issue, only your FEARS about it.

Check things out with your doctor. And if you continue to worry unnecessarily like this then perhaps you need to see a therapist or other professional to get some support with the emotional aspects of your situation.

I repeat, this is NOT an HIV situation. End of story.

Hi Andy/Ann/Rapid -

Please don't get mad at me for coming back. I have a quick question. If she had injured my skin while giving me oral sex her saliva could infect me, right? Besides, if she was in her window period then she would have a very high level of the virus, which would make infection on a damaged skin very likely, right?

Please don't get pissed at me. I am going through emotional roller coaster. I am trying to manage my day-to-day life for now, until I go for testing. I have a family - and I am more worried for my child's future at this point than mine. I am probably the wrost father a son can have...Sorry for my ranting!

No one has ever been confirmed to have become infected by getting a blowjob. You've been told that. You are not going to make history by becoming the first. And no, saliva from an HIV+ person is NOT infectious.

I have already apologized for posting on the other forum when I was pointed to the guidelines and I realized my mistake. As for PM, I did try to contact nycpoz (and he PM'ed me) since we are both from the same part of the world, we both know what a conservative part we come from, and I just wanted to make him a friend. But I guess my ways to go about it wasn't quite right.

Anyway, though I found your reply rather rude, my sincere apologies

for posting here. For a matter of fact, my apologies to anyone else I might have offended.
