MOVING FORWARD

HEY LADIES,

THIS SITE HAS HELPED ME TREMENDOUSLY...I ONLY WISH I COULD HAVE COME HERE A LOT SOONER.  BUT I'M GLAD I'M HERE NOW!!

I've read several of the posts and topics, many of which have caught my attention.  I was tested back in 1985, but didn't go back for the official results.  I eventually became  very ill in1996.  I was in denial for a while, b/c like many people who find out they're infected, I was scared.  I finally came to grips with my situation and began treatment.  

I am truly blessed, first b/c when I found out there were family members who stood by my side.  Some were afraid, but that was to be expected.  I've been on meds for a while, have had a few changes (thank God I haven't had any side affects to them) and have pretty much been undetectable for about 8 years.

I have made a choice to move forward and get the help & support I need.  I have a wonderful family and friends that have been by my side thru this journey.  I'm truly grateful for the ability to be able to
share with others.  I have had my moments, in the beginning, to want to give up! But in the end educating myself and accepting help, has allowed me to get this far. There but for the grace of God go I
