Insertive oral, protected veginal and Lymph count, really worried

Hi,

 I am from India.  I have few questions on insertive oral sex and protected vaginal sex. I know that everybody in this forum considers it as “safe” and “zero” risk (not even low risk).
I Had involved in an unprotected oral sex (and protected vaginal sex. No alcohol, no condom break) numerous times between 2003-2005 with  CSWs in India. had let that go off my mind, got married in 2007 and never got tested. But recently two things taking me to lot on anxiety
Firstly two routine blood tests (CBC)  in span of 45 days
In December had a CBC, everything came good except glucose level and diagnosed as diabetes.
To recheck Glucose level, had one test in mid Feb (just 45 days later) and was shocked to see a considerable drop in Lymphocytes and increase in Esenophils

Dec 30 : WBC : 8.5 Lymph 33.3%, EOS 4.7% Nutrophils 54.5%
Feb 17 : WBC 8.6 Lymph 29.8% EOS 5.8% Nutrophils 57.4%
Palettes count is almost same.
Does this sudden drop in Lymph % happen in any other case other than HIV within just 45 days..? (I stopped diary products to cut the carbs. Can that cause the drop..?)


Secondly openion of an  ID doctor in India and he was telling me insertive oral is actually not as safe as we think especially in India. Here are his points
 1.       In India HIV mostly is of sub type C  which is more contagious than other subtypes such as B

2.       Saliva itself can contain HIV in high quantity based on the stage of infection and medication   (such as  during acute phase, late stage, without meds etc)

3.       Saliva can contain blood if the may not be visible at all. This invisible small  quantity of blood is enough to transmit
4. Most studies on insertive oral sex were made on the people over the years who were on Meds and had very low or undetectable viral load. Hence their saliva (or saliva with blood) was not infectious
I thought he (Indian ID doctor) is very conservative, but what alarmed me is Dr HHH’s response to one of the question in medhelp on oral sex where he rated it as high risk since the incident was reported from Ghana (Africa). So I started having doubts about  insertive oral sex risk in the rest of the world

 I am sorry, if I sound like I am doubting/questioning your knowledge, that is definitely not my intention.

At no time were you at risk of contracting HIV.

No matter what your doctor says there has never been one single confirmed case of HIV transmission to a guy through receiving a blowjob. Not one. You're not going to make history by becoming the first.

You used a condom for intercourse. Perfect. They provide very effective protection.

All those test results you are reporting are irrelevant. You didn't have  real risk for HIV, but if you had one, the only test result that matters is an HIV test. That's the only one that can tell you accurately about your HIV status.

You are worrying needlessly. There's no need for testing unless you insist on it for your own peace of mind. Based on what you have reported you are going to get a negative result.

Hi Andy, Ann, I really need some more help here.. I was letting the whole of my 2003-2005 protected sex incidents to history but some of the lab results and symptoms really causing me to worry. Please pleaseread my post once and let me know  what you think. I am worried about just one particular incident.

As I said before I always had protected vaginal sex and never anal sex . Never missed to put condoms

in 2004 May 12th I had  protected vaginal sex and unprotected insertive oral with a potential HIV+ sexworker in an one night stand.

On 28th day (June 9th) I had heavy fever for 2days and dry cough for 6 days .  still remember this and have it written in my dairy as of the worst fever I had in my life . That time I had no idea about ARS and could not co relate with this incident

6 months back rashes (red slightly raised bumps of around 1 inchall over body )came on wife which resembled exactly  the HIV ARS rashes (what I saw in internet). Again after 2-3weeks of our unprotected sex

My CBC results coming with constant decrease in Lymphocytes % and increase in EOS

My Wife is Pregnant now and got her first 2 trimester bloodwork results . Both have low Lymphocytes  and red blood cells (lab marked them as abnormal) No HIV test yet for her

I have lost more than 10lbs in last 2 months for no reason .  No dierria though...

It is becoming very difficult for me to believe that all these are not related to HIV infection. In India all are saying insertive oral is still a risky activity for HIV and several transmissions have happened and reported..  Is there any difference in transmission possibility for this part of the world..?  Do you know the transmission facts in India..? (Also nypoz reported that he got HIV from insertive oral sex or from protected sex and he is from India . I know I should not comment on "living with" forum , but I read his post over there and could not stop mentioning about it)

Also I am reading that saliva contains HIV .. Is that True..? If the viral load is high, will it infect the pennis..?

I am sometimes thinking that the lady might have intentionally infected me by putting blood on to my penis tip
or anus (I know it is little irrational thinking. But my mind running in all directions now ) when I was sleeping. If that was the case, transmission is possible right..? Have you heard any incident like this..?

IF the condom is not broken (in which case it wrap to bottom of penis  )can I assume thew protection was complete..can the bad quality latex condom let HIV in through  some microscopic holes or something like that..

I am currently in a remote village in India and for a HIV test for my wife (and me) will  need to go to nearby city for the test. Will be able to go only after 2 weeks. By that time it will be 7th month complete for her and I am really  worried that my kid will get infected if at all we test positive..

Sorry for long post.. I am in panic edge now after going through lab results and my old dairy... Can't sit,sleep or walk..

OK, listen carefully.

Your fears and doubts have absolutely no basis in HIV science. Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV.

We're not going to get into the mass of details and what ifs you are throwing into the mix which are only scaring you further, all without any basis in the realities of HIV. You are worrying needlessly about your wife's blood test results. Again, they have nothing to do with HIV. She should be discussing any questions either of you have with her doctor.

HIV is not your problem. If you have symptoms that are bothering you then discuss them with your doctor. You do not need to test for HIV. This is NOT an HIV situation. Period.

Condoms provide very effective protection against HIV transmission. I don't see any basis for further concern on your part. Nor any need for HIV testing.

I have only one question.. if at all she had rubbed blood on penis or in my anus while I was sleeping, would it be sufficient to transmit..? I know this is rare possibility, but I am not clear about transmission possibility here.. I went through lessons, but it is not clear to me

I will truly trust you and try to get on with life... But when I recollect that 6 year old fever, my wife's rashes, lab results etc  my confidence goes for a toss. I think I got to figure out to control this fear

No, in that very unlikely happening you would not have been at risk for HIV transmission. You have no sound basis for being concerned. Whatever is causing or caused those various symptoms had/has absolutely nothing to do with HIV.
