Just want someone to answer i went to the HIV clinic with my mate who wanted to get tested. SO i waited for him. I have a litle rash that i scartched till it bled i used the toilet and door handles without washing hands. Then a minute later scartched my little rash and it bled really small any risk due maybe having picked up and  microscopic blood, semen from door handles and not washing hand then scartching till blood came or is it silly?

No, your question isn't "silly." It's important to know what is a risk for HIV and what isn't.

In this case you are worrying needlessly. HIV is a fragile virus. It is not transmitted from environmental surfaces such as doors, knobs, furniture, toilet seats, food and other such.

The only confirmed sexual risks for transmitting HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Always use condoms for those activities and you will be well protected.

There's no need for further concern on your part about this recent incident.

No one has been identified as infected with HIV due to contact with an environmental surface. Additionally, HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions, therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

Hey Everyone

Just want to Find out more

1) HIV in INFECTIOUS only in semen, blood and sexual fluids
2) Even if found in these FLUIDS but outside the body and a person was in contact with them and somehow it enterd his system the VIRUS would be INACTIVE due to its being DEAD once it hits AIR
3) HIV is not infectious in saliva even though it may contain small amounts

That's right, once outside of the body HIV almost immediately loses its viability. It is not infectious in saliva. Saliva contains over a dozen elements and proteins which very effective prevent its transmission in a viable form.

I'm not aware of any documented case of HIV being transmitted via razors. Sure there might be anecdotal reports of that. People may have claimed that's how they were infected, but that doesn't mean it's true.

If HIV was spread by casual contact with contaminated environmental surfaces we would see that reflected in the epidemiological data. The evidence tells us otherwise.

Infection through sharing razors is strictly hearsay and undocumented. Don't you have anything better to do with your time than speculate about ways to scare yourself unnecesarrily.

Use condoms consistently for vaginal and anal intercourse and you will be well protected against HIV transmission.

The page you link to does not describe confirmed documented cases of transmission. It refers to what public health officials believe may have happened at the time, but cannot be sure.

The particulars of thoses cases bear no relevance to your situation and frankly you would be doing yourself a favour not trawling the internet for CDC reports from nearly 20 years ago you are not able to understand.

You do not have HIV. If you continue to post about this non risk rubbish you will receive a 28 day ban from the forums.

You have no science-based cause for further concern. I'm going to give you that 28 Day Time Out which you had been warned about.

Don't make the mistake of trying to get around it by creating a new name for yourself. We'll spot that right off and it will get you permanently banned from the site.
