Home From The Hospital!
« on: September 20, 2007, 06:58:25 pm »
Ole Mikey just got home from his very first Hospital stay since being diagnosed over 5 years ago. :'(

I woke up last Sunday morning with a fever of 102.9 and had to give up and go to the emergency room which landed me in the hospital until just a couple hours ago.

I have had the week from HELL! :(  I have never had so much blood drawn from my veins in such a short time span.
Not only did they take tubes of Blood but they started taking it in bottles that looked like hot sauce bottles to me. :o

To top it off I thought they would never get enough Stool samples. Then there were all kinds of x-rays and before I left I had to have an endoscopy done.

They still do not know what caused the fever, and the diarrhea continues. The test that they did have the results on did not give them any answers but they still have several that have not come back yet.

They allowed me to come home because it may be a few days before they get all the results and then they will call me.

I still do not feel very well but it feels Great to me back home and not confined to a hospital  bed with an IV stuck in my arm.

I just wanted to ask for your Prayers, well wishes, positive energy, or whatever it is you believe in, I can use all the support I can get.. :)

Thanks for reading my post,
Mike :-*

Hi Mike, I'm sorry to hear about your hospital stay and bad week, but it's good that you are home now and hope you get some adequate answers eventually from the hospital tests.

Good luck Mike.  Good decision to get out of the hospital.  People get sick and die there.  I'd much rather be home.

Get better real soon.

Amen to that!

I wish I had known sooner you were in the  hospital. Since I have all this free time now if there is anything I can do for you just let me know. A ride to the Dr, or ANYTHING else. You just let me know & it is NO PROBLEM. I hope they can find out what is going on. You know how to contact me if you need ANYTHING.

Feel better real soon!!!

The catman sends his best wishes and good vibrations for you, kiddo. I also hate being in the hospital with a needle stuck in your arm but it's for the best. I had that needle for 7 days last week because of dehydration due to other complications and the IV really helped me get through it no matter how uncomfortable it was. Hang on there buddy and get plenty of rest now that you are home. :-*

I want to say A "Great Big Thanks" to each and every one of you for the well wishes and words of support and encouragement. It is a comfort to hear from people that know exactly what I am going through because you have been there also.

I am very tired and weak but doing okay. I should hear from all my test in a few days and will let you know what I find out. With any luck , maybe better days are ahead. My main goal right now is to not let my depression take me over and having this place to share is a great help with that. :-*

I hope everyone has a Great Weekend!! :)

I'm sorry to hear about all of this but am glad you are home.

I understand about not wanting to allow the depression to get a hold of you; it is a battle. We are all here for you to get through that aspect.
