CBD Oil and ART?
« on: November 27, 2019, 10:04:52 am »
I wondering does CBD Oil clash with our ART treatment medication?

I've heard a tiny amount helps a good nights sleep and CBD Oil is legal in my country. I'm not a great sleeper, and have been thinking about this.

Anyone using it? Any feedback from ID Docs re using it on treatment?

Not using it and not sure if it’s legal in the country I live in (Thailand) but definitely interested in knowing more having become a insomniac.

Friend of mine who lives in Thailand... his Thai wife get's CBD Oil somewhere and uses it as she cannot sleep and he tells me she now get's a brilliant nights sleep.  You know yourself in Thailand, what's legal and what often happens can be two very different things!

There's quite a few shops with it hear in Ireland and had a good talk to the guy in there go tells me a couple of drops helps a great nights sleep (mind you he is trying to sell me a bottle of course!) Told me you have it take it for a week or so for it to work properly.

Worried if it effected our medication though?
I'm not back to the ID Doc until Mid-January so won't be able to check until then.

Agreed, that’s the first thing to verify and given it’s a “new” thing, I guess docs will be very cautious in advising.

Oh... and yes, this is land of smile and “exceptions”.

I checked: no interaction with my ART.

Sawadee clinic? I checked but can’t find a website, only a Facebook page in Thai.

Is it the one near Don Mueang airport?

Do you know how much is it? Do they ship it?

Cheers

No interactions with my meds either.
My get a bottle and give it a try to see if I can get more solid nights sleep.
Euro 65 a bottle so pricey!

Really? Here it's only 15 to 30 euros. Maybe it's higher quality.
I always had trouble sleeping all my life, even as a kid I would force myself to watch tv until I would tire myself, because I was anxious and scared by every noise.
Did you try other methods to fall asleep? Like reading a book or listening to relaxing music?

I usually read my ebook, which I can read in bed and with lights off, so I don’t bother others. But I need to have something engaging to read, which is not easy. If I have nothing interesting to read I usually watch series on Netflix.

Lately my insomnia worsened. I tried Trazodone but it gave me palpitations and I quit it, besides effect was mild and I got groggy next day. Also tried benzo but only occasionally since the doctor said you may develop addiction. And again grogginess the next day.
Also, I had to resume Bupropione for my depression and unfortunately that’s a stimulant, which causes the insomnia to worsen.

Now don’t know what to do. I’d give this CBD a try if it’s not too expensive, just to see if it can actually help.

Hugs

I tried the CBD Oil several times now to see if it helps me sleep. I do not think it works for me... didn't seem to make much of a difference. I took a few drops about 2 hours before sleep time as instructed...I think the only thing it did was make me hungry!
