Dear Andy, Ann and others who understand this isssue.
I'm a young man, uncircumsized, never had a gf and rarely had sex. 20 days ago I visited south-east asia and had sex with this call girl in a hotel. She perform oral-sex on me, then I put on a Trojan condom. While have sex, I don't recall the condom fell off, break or anything. I stopped before ejaculated, while my pennis still erected, I removed the condom. She was quite dry and I don't recall and fluid at the base of condom or my penis. Still erected, I went to take a shower. I think there are two possible cases I may got transmited:
1. I don't remove the condom properly, some of the virus at the end of condom touch my fore-skin of the penis head. Have you heard of any cases like this?
2. When I take shower, becuase my penis still erected, the water along with virus flow to it and bring the transmission..
3. Oral sex...
Everytime I think about this, I feel like having a low grade fewer, i have not eaten properly last 4,5 days, barely sleep couple hours per day, and waiting for sign of illnesses...please help help...
Also, have you come accross and Asian American HIV+ who come to this board...I feel I am the only one

I meant I don't recall seeing any of her fluid at the base of condom or on my penis...

You did NOT have a risk. As Matty says, you had protected intercourse. Condoms have been proven to be very effective when it comes to hiv prevention.
Forget about what happened with the condom or the shower afterwards. Successfull hiv transmission happens INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse. Once the virus is finds itself outside the body, it can no longer infect.
You did the right thing and used a condom. You had no risk.

I forgot to mention that she brushed her teeth before giving oral, but i understand that only raise the risk a little bit..
Thank you Ann and matty, as you said many times that no known cases of getting HIV from receiving oral, I wonder if during the 5 years life of this board, any known cases of the worrying people here actually turned out to be HIV+
I think i should wait for few more weeks and get my testing.

Her brushing her teeth before giving you a blowjob does not raise the risk in the slightest. Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection no matter what sort of spin you want to put on it. Not one person has ever become infected through getting a blowjob and you will not be the first.

Dear Ann and others..thank you for your kind and assuring words...today, (day 21 after the incident) I having some pain under my arm..worrying about possible swolen lymp node...I don't have fever or anything else...what is the earliest time I should have a HIV test...4 weeks good enough?..the wait is taking its tolls..should i immediately test for other STDs...thanks?

As getting a blowjob is not a risk, you can test 12-13 weeks after your last unprotected intercourse for a conclusive result. If you haven't had unprotected intercourse, a test at any time now would be conclusive.

Dear Ann and others, do you know if is there an estimate somewhere about how many percents of people who got HIV+ went through the flu-like symptoms of secroconverion. Should 50% a fair number? Thanks a lot.

Some do, some don't. There's no way of really knowing because so many people don't test after risky behaviour. All YOU need to know is that one, symptoms or the lack of symptoms means nothing and two, you didn't have a risk.
Protected intercourse is just that - protected against hiv infection.
Would you be as worried if you had protected intercourse with the "girl next door"? Condoms protect you no matter who you are with. There's not one set of transmission rules for sex workers and another for other people. Think about it.
You didn't have a risk and so it follows that you are not going to seroconvert.

A few months back I posted a question about my risk, at that time I had some trouble symtoms and was assured by our Ann and other nice people in the forum that the risk at minimal, i stopped worrying, all the symtoms gone away and i felt very much normal...
Now it is is 3 months from the possilbe exposure (I marked on the calender to remember to get tested) I am thinking about testing to know my status for sure. The last couple days, the sysmtoms turned up, (light fever, slightly swollen glands), and the anxiety thats come along. I just stared on a one-in-a-lifetime project that need full mental concentration for the next 9 months, and all this worrying making it hard to concentrate, I am not sure whether I should get tested or not is , if it come out positive, my project is dead, i think i should wait for 9 months, but now can't get this worrying off my mind....
..just want to share few words with you...

Worry will get you nowhere. Don't you think your project will suffer from your anxiety over getting tested, regardless?
You could have the flu. Get tested, move on with your life.

We didn't tell you that you had a "minimal" risk, we said you had NO risk. Test all you like, but don't be surprised when you get a negative result.

I do hope to hear if he finally was tested and what the result was though I suspect that if it has been this long and no reply, he's not found a need to come back to the boards so that's not necessarily a bad thing :)
