except for the "bruno" shorts, I agree with you! (you should have done this as a poll ;))

Why I used to even watch college basketball back in those days when shorts were ballhuggers and not ankle length billowy pants.

Perhaps it is my age and the fashion trends working their evil subconscious magic, but while I find legs equally attractive as say a nice chest or stomach the image is counteracted by the ridiculousness of the shorts.  If it's any consolation I also find tiny little swimsuits on men to be unappealing.

I do like REAL shorts, too!  Many of those past-the-knees things that pass for shorts now would have been considered high-waters back in the day.  For what it's worth, I have two pair of OP's - one original that's mostly worn out and a pair from a few years ago.  The original pair had a 1.5" inseam while the newer ones were 2.5".  Either way, they'd better be snug around the legs or things are gonna be hanging out!

Not sure where you live Mecch, but shorts have been in around these parts for a good couple of years now. Cargo, below the knee, baggy are all very daggy.
Maybe the fashion will filter down to your town one day.

Aussie rules shorts are still quite short but nothing compared to what they were in the 70's:

I had something for everyone in there - even you -  but one link was a total bust, and I don't know what's up with the other two.

Maybe you'll like these better.

Mmm, microfiber. . .

The guy in the daisy dukes looks college age, to this expert eye.  ::)

Congrats on the photo find, i looked everywhere for a recent daisy dukes and couldn't find!

The stud with the arm tatoo and silver watch and brown trunks - Ok major hotness but doesnt belong since the trunks are modern and not short!

OH, and I would like a global report on male "Jeggings" (jeans + leggings)

I spotted a few this spring around Switzerland, I was really surprised. Now they are daily sightings. My gaydar says its about 3/4 gayboys but my gaydar doesn't work so well on the 16-25 set of metros these days.

You've already made your taste clear - no form fitting male attire!

I didn't love skinny jeans, except on very young straight teens. They make a weird silhouette.

But I think the jeggings are an improvement.
