ADAP Watch List Updates August 2012

As a result of FY2012 ADAP emergency funding, Idaho, Montana, and Nebraska were able to eliminate their waiting lists. Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia were able to reduce the overall number of individuals on their waiting lists.

ADAPs with Waiting Lists as of August 2, 2012
1,223 individuals in 6 states

It is my hope that this 1223 people on the waiting list will be covered just by the end of this year.

on ADAP in Ga looking at moving to Fl in the next 12 to 24 months what should i know or do?

The drop in numbers on the waiting lists is quite encouraging.  Here's hoping they get it down to zero soon!

your best bet is to get in touch with an ASO in the area that you will be moving too; or secondly contact FL ADAP and talk to them about your situation.

Unfortunately as a new Floridian it will be quite possible that you will be put onto their waiting list when you enter their system with your new application. Unless you have quite a stockpile of meds, or make prior arrangements, it's quite possible that you will lose your medication assistance by moving.

For anyone, moving to a state with an ADAP waiting list when you need ADAP assistance is probably not a good move.
