Women In Poz Magazine.
« on: October 17, 2007, 11:28:35 am »
Hey all my lady friends.. ;)

In Novembers issue of Poz magazine, there will be an article with my photo and my real name about how the cocktails have changed women's bodies..

I notice that when this link was posted, it seemed like none of you wanted to get involved...

Maybe its because you have to use your real name, and a photo of yourself, so you don't
want people to know your business...
            I understand that...but..................
How as women, do we expect change, if we don't get involved .... ::)

I put myself out there on the chopping block, just so I can get help for the women in the world and myself of course, to make some positive changes in our meds and how
they turn our bodies into something we have little control over.. :(

So please pick up November's issue of Poz Magazine..
If you want to know my real name, you can email me ..OK ;)

Thank you, because you represent so many of us women who choose to be silent for various reasons.  I aspire to someday have your strength.

I agree with catwoman, not everyone wants to put themselves out there, esp where our bodies are concerned.  I can talk about my lipo in these Forums, and show pics of my face, but I'm not ready to show my body to everyone.  Its no one's business but mine.

We all have different comfort levels and I respect that.

KTH, you would need to post 3 times in the Forums and then contact the woman who originally had a concern about him via PM.  I recognize that name, but I do not know him.  A friend in the threads was concerned that he was a fake, turns out he was.  Go back to that thread and find out who you should be directing your question to.  I merely used gut instinct and intuition on that one, as a lot of scammers have emailed me and I don't tolerate them.

Let's keep this thread on topic, please.

UBotts

I look forward to receiving my November issue so that I may open it first to read your example of courage, confidence and concern for others.

Ubbots, good for you for doing that.  I commend you.  Like Cin said, each woman has her own comfort level that has to be respected.  I personally do not know if I would feel comfortable or not.  And until I know that, I wouldn't do an article.  We women (at least the ones I've "met" through these forums) feel the most comfortable with each other on these threads.  But, once again, I do commend you.  That does take courage.

KTH, you probably should introduce yourself first, then ask questions later. ;)

Thank you all..
But someone has to be the mouth for us women...

We all have these problems and to stay in the closet will get us women no where.
Its OK..I know I was a bit hesitant when they asked for my photo as well, but I said
what the hell....just do it..

Ha..Lets see how many phone calls I receive after some of my friends find out that
I am hiv...this should be interesting on my part ???..

Ill keep you girls informed after the issue is published..
If some of my friends find out and want nothing to do with me..than, that's there loss.
 :'( not mine...

Ubotts, you have to realize that you take that chance of having people choose not to hang around you when you did that story.  Like you said, it is their loss.  I'll be looking forward to seeing the article.  I personally don't get Poz, but I do read it online if there seems to be some good articles in it.
