Please help - Long shot.
« on: March 25, 2021, 12:30:15 pm »
Long shot.

My 9-year-old son has special needs & autism. He has a blankie that his biggest source of comfort. He sleeps with it, takes it everywhere, school, playground, shopping etc. He can't cope without it.

It is about 10/12+ years old and actually a duvet cover from an Irish store Guineys
The problem is it is falling apart, I've made repairs over the years but it's at its end.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement?? Has anyone seen this pattern in stores/shops somewhere?

ojo.             Great news my friend, I’m happy for you and little “Jim”...you are a good father and a great human being. You have to deal with all of us and your family. I admire you and I thank you for all you do as moderator of all these forums, even, dealing with the Spanish forums. I wish I could be able to help you but, I have my physical limitation, because I have the will to do it, but I know that it is not enough...hugs

Thanks  :)

We had tried other patterns or patterns that are close as a replacement but that did not work, so it's a relief that posting online about the blankie dilemma has resulted in some very kind of people stepping forward offering exact replacements.

The replacement arrived yesterday  :)

Long wash and ill be sticking the old one in the cupboard so I can use it for repairs in the future. It's a huge relief  :)

Again, thanks for all the messages and everyone who looked. I got an overwhelming, unexpected amount of support and we appreciate it greatly.
