My first sex. Can a condom protect me from HIV?

Hello everyone in this forum. I have a question and need all you guys to help.
2 week ago i have sex with a sex worker. I have sex with her only 1 minute. And i wear condom correctly. After sex i go to bathroom and carefully do water test on my condom. It not break and don't have any water leaking out. Question is:
1: Can i get HIV from this way?
2: I'm very stress and scared right now, what should i do?
I'm planning to test in 3 months. Thank for reading and answering.

As long as you always properly use a condom everytime for vaginal and anal intercourse you will be well protected. You have no cause for concern about HIV and there is no need for you to get tested.

Get on with your life and always use condoms for intercourse.

It been 1 month that I have sex with Prostitutes . I has protected sex (condom) with her. It lease than 1 minute vigina intercourse. I know that condom wasn't broke. Now i don't want to touch any prostites anymore, because i'm scare of HIV. I'm happy with my job and simple life. But HIV is on my mind everyday. I'm really scare of inflected virus.
1: Can i get virus in my Situation?
2: Can I continue my job as Construction Worker if my test comeback positive?

You have NOT had a risk for hiv infection. To answer your specific questions:

1. NO. Protected intercourse is just that - protected. Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection. There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

2. Of course hiv positive people can work as construction workers. But you don't have to worry about that because you have NOT had a risk for hiv infection.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY FOR HIV OVER PROTECTED INTERCOURSE, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Hi everyone in here. I know I should ask this question in (Am I Infected) topic.
But i don't have a choose or good place to ask more than here.
2 months a go i has protected sex with a sex worker. But it was protected sex without oral. I have been told my situation in many place. But many answers reply that: I probably fine and Not Infected with HIV.
But now I'm still worry and stress. Next month it will 3 months mark. And i will get a test.
Question is: I want to know about early HIV symptoms after possible exposed.
It would be great if your answer is include date.

First of all, I have moved your latest question to this forum because as it states in the opening thread, this is where you should be asking your questions. Further it is a rule of the site that members must keep all of their questions in the same thread. This is the only place where you should be writing. You don't have to like our rules but you still need to follow them.

Now as to your latest question. Neither presence nor the absence of symptoms will ever tell you anything accurately about your HIV status. The essential fact is that you had protected intercourse. That's good because condoms provide very effective protection against HIV transmission. And unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse are the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV.

There is nothing in what you are reporting which suggests you were at risk. Getting tested is not necessary for you unless you want to do it just for your peace of mind. Of course you're going to get a negative result based on what you have reported of your activities. By the way, even if you had oral sex that would not have been a risk for HIV.

You are worrying needlessly. Stop making problems where there isn't one. Get on with your life.
