Should i get tested
« on: March 27, 2010, 03:38:32 pm »
So i had a brief encounter with a guy i met at a club. We never had intercourse and he only performed oral and fingered me.

The problem is he may have gotten pre cum on his fingers when he fingered me and i have a small case of haemorrhoid's.

Was there any risk and should i be tested for Hiv?

Thanks in advance.

You were never at risk in the situation you've provided.

Steven, in the entire history of the epidemic no guy has even been confirmed to have become infected through oral being performed on him. The same applies to fingering. No matter what spin you add into the mix including pre-cum on fingers, etc., you were not at risk in the incident you are concerned about.

All you really have to keep in mind as far as sexual risk is to always use condoms for either vaginal or anal intercourse. It really is that simple. Those are the only confirmed risks for sexual transmission.

Performed oral sex - am i infected?
« Reply #5 on: December 28, 2010, 09:38:05 am »
So i recently performed oral sex for the 1st time on a guy. It lasted around 20-30 mins and i could taste pre-cum. He did not cum in my mouth though.

Should i get tested for hiv to be safe?

Steven, I've merged your threads here. In the future please follow our rule and keep all of your entries in this same thread. Thanks for your cooperation.

Giving oral is only "theoretically" risky. Your saliva has over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively prevent the transmission of viable HIV if it is present. Having said that it is a good idea to not give oral if you have a large, openly bleeding wound in your mouth, say from very recent surgery.

Otherwise the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected anal and vaginal intercourse. Use condoms everytime for those and you will be well protected.

As regards this recent incident I don't see cause for concern nor for testing.

Im generally an anxious guy, so had this playing on my mind.

I met a guy in a bar, got talking and ended up "hooking up" a few days later. Ive not had much anal sex so i let him stick his penis in for roughly around 5mins. He wore a condom and never ejaculated inside it, as we masturbated after to completion.

So my questions are

If say the guy wanted to stick pinholes in the condom, would this cause it to fail? I told the guy i get a little nervous and he showed me the condom on his penis when he took it out and tugged on it to show it was still intact.

Im just alittle anxious on the situation really, and kinda need to put my mind at rest.

Thanks in advance

I am glad to hear that you used protection for penetrative sex! You were protected against HIV. Of course if you eish to indulge in paranoid fantasies about predator HIV infection you certainly can. I cannot see how thus can make your sex life happier or healthier though.

You did not have a risk for hiv infection. People don't really go around sticking holes in condoms.
