Odefsey reviews!
« on: October 04, 2017, 09:48:26 am »
Hello guys! :) it's been a while since the last time i post something here! got myself extra busy lately!

I was just wondering your thoughts about Odefsey!... Ive been on Truvada/Prezista/Norvir since I was diagnosed in 2013. It's been 4 years with this regime and now my doctor changed my meds to Odefsey.

In the last 4 years of course i've noticed things changing in my body, I guess because of the meds, like headaches sometimes, low energy sometimes, etc, etc, but nothing too scary... so I didnt feel the need to change my meds, but my doctor told me this new med would decrease the chances of getting some kidney failure in the future or bone waste, etc etc plus this is a one pill regime.

I have to confess I accepted this change eventhough im scared to dead!! I start Odefsey tomorrow and ive been reading really bad reviews of this med, specially with mental issues!! I really dont know if I took the right decision, I am about to call my doctor to tell him i want to stay with my current regime.

What do u guys think I should do?...

Thank for your comments! :)

Why is your doctor changing? To simplify things? Side effects? I haven't heard much about it. Most doctors in the US are moving toward integrase inhibitors. If you're not comfortable and it's causing a lot of stress and anxiety, maybe suggest something you're more comfortable with.

I don't understand why you are scared. Are you having 'what if' ruminations about the new regimen but not your current one.
If you don't like your new combination is that you change back. That is the worst that possibly happen.

At best you will reduce your odds of getting catastrophic side effects like kidney failure. To top it off you'll be on a one pill, once a day regime.

Hey bruno,  how are things going so far on Odefsey?  Most are doing well who take it from what I have read.

I've been using Odefsy now a little over a week.  I was having some sleep issues on my previous med and since starting Odefsy those have disappeared.   I have noticed some issues with heartburn, but I am not certain that it is caused by Odefsy.  I was having fatigue issues when I was on Truvada and Viramune and sleep issues with Genvoya.  So far nothing stands out with Odefsy, knock on wood....  I hope it stays that way.
