Title: need advice
Post by: bolo60 on May 01, 2007, 11:16:30 pm
i had unprotected oral sex from a prostitute to climax, I'm male she was female who had a bisexual boy friend. about 12 days after the incident i became very worried and went to see a doctor who gave me antibiotics for chlamydia and gonorrhea and did all the tests including hiv which i still have to wait another week for. my question is if the hiv is negative do you think ineed to retest at six weeks after this encounter(i normally have unprotected vaginal sex with my wife and do not want to put her at risk). this was a one time exposure.

You didn't need to test in the first place. You do not get infected by receiving a blowjob.

In the entire history of the HIV epidemic no guy has ever become infected through receiving a blowjob. It's safe to say you aren't going to make history by becoming the first.

Also, whether you ejaculated is irrelevant as far as you are concerned. The risk there would be to the person giving you oral if you were HIV+, (which you're not I hasten to add).

Cheers,

i recently had vaginal intercourse with a female sex worker, i used a condom, she fitted it like she knew what she was doing and also used lubricant on the outside and after sex she checked to see if the condom was broken and it was not, she said that every thing was ok. do es any one think thereis a reason to get checked for hiv.

Bolo

I have merge your threads, keep your questions here in future, please do not start a new thread...thanks for your cooperation.

Regarding your last question..there is no need for testing, this was not an HIV risk...if you are unsure of how HIV is transmitted then read Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) and follow the lessons.
