Malar (Facial) Filling: my perspective
« on: January 11, 2007, 09:37:44 pm »

It won't solve financial frustration.  It doesn't improve dysfunctional interactions.  It couldn't even change the weather.  It can't solve problems...as such anyway.

But as one who had my initial Radiesse treatment thirty days ago...it is the best thing I have done for myself.  To be able to once again nourish both one's self-confidence and soul, is almost beyond description.  A malar filling is a lot more than just a malar filling.

So I really encourage, and support, any of you guys with some lipoatrophy, to take a leap of faith, so to say, and consult a dermatologist and see if you don't think it would be good for you.

Speaking for myself, by the way...I wasn't trying to become somebody I'm not.  I just wanted to look like I would...had lipoatrophy not gotten the upper hand on me.

Hey Gary that's great news! Very glad that Radiesse is working out for you. And you don't have to defend your decision to do something which you say is the best thing you've done for yourself! Just sayin. Here's hoping, as you say, that others suffering from lipoatrophy will be inspired by your story.

Her finely-touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.

I totally agree with you Gary. That is the way I think about the subject also. Tomorrow is my facial filling with PMMA. This is for me and no one else...I'll keep you posted.

It's been 3 days since I had my facial filling with PMMA. I'm still swollen but the results are incredible. I still have two more session to go with a 6 week difference and then I will post a new topic with the pics. Only Gary has seen them. I want to finish the whole procedure and then post the final result. It was worth the physical and $$$ pain...
