Aspirin is Immune-modulating drug What is your experience using Aspirin

Prostaglandins may also activate other cytokines which may stimulate HIV replication such as tumour necrosis factor (TNF). However, a test-tube study reported in early 1995 found that aspirin may inhibit HIV replication in some cells but stimulate increased HIV replication in others.

Any one have good or bad things to say about aspirin either on HAART or before or during STI

what are your thoughts?

Hello,

Prior to starting HAART in October of 2003, I was pretty heavy into Tylenol and/or aspirin. I try to avoid taking these things now, unless it's absolutely necessary. Since I have PN, I will take an aspirin on occassion

I was checking over on the John Hopkins site, found the following not exactly an answer to your question :

I donīt know but I can tell you I never had a headache since the second day of starting meds. Before starting meds or knowing I was HIV+ I took aspirins almost every day due to severe headaches. I took 500 aspirins a year.

Too much asprin can make your stomach upset.
I tend to avoid painkillers, drink water... even if it hurts a lot!

As far as a stimulant for counter-aids meds... I have n00000 idea :)
