Okay so 2 months ago in the month of June I visited some sex workers in a health spa, they provided sex services and the environment seemed clean. I received unprotected oral followed by protected vaginal sex, just these 2 sexual acts. This whole encounter was for about 20 minutes. The room included a bathroom so I bathed and cleaned myself after that.

A month later I have forgotten about this incident and at the same time I resumed sex with my girlfriend, sometimes unprotected.

Then recently a few days ago I started to worry if there was a possibility that I was infected by hiv. I don't want to infect my girlfriend too so I'm really really worried right now. I dont know what to do...

What is the possibility of me getting infected? Do I need to get tested?

The only sexual risks for HIV are unprotectd anal and vaginal intercourse. If you did not have those things, you had no risk for HIV.

A word of caution, however. Other STDs are spread through skin contact, like herpes and syphilis. ANy person who is not in a mutually monogamous relationship needs to gettested at least twice a year for STDs (a full panel, and why not include HIV?) and practice safer sex with his partners, who presumably also know they are not in a mutually monogamous relationship and can monitor their health as well.

I absolutely cannot speak for other health forums. All I know is that a condom, properly used, prevents HIV infection. Period.

And getting fellatio is NOT a risk in any case. Saliva is not infectious, It actually ocntians over a dozen identified elements that inhibit HIV and render it incapable of infection (which is one of the reasons GIVING oral sex is not a risk for HIV either).

As you have used your three free posts, I encourage you to search/peruse this forum. We have dealt with over a thousand oral/protrected sex questions in 2013 alone. Multiply that by the ten years I have personally been answering questions on this forum.

You are NOT going to get HIV from protected sex or getting fellated. Or giving fellatio. Or giving or getting cunnilingus. The biology, statistics, and virology are abundantly clear.

That having been said, everyone who is not in a mutually monogamous relationship ought to be getting tested twice a year for ALL STDs, including HIV. If you cann't bring yourself to monitor and maintain your sexual health, you should probably not be having sex.
