NYC -- Dental Surgery Recommendations

My BF (Medicaid, New York City-Manhattan) is going to have dental surgery (full extraction, dentures).  He has been given a longish list of providers (by his dentist at Beth-I who accept Medicaid and who can do this. 

Does anyone have any recommendations for NYC-Manhattan vis a vis this kind of dental surgery?  I'm hearing the plan is that it will be done in stages (and at one stage, he'll undergo full anaesthesia for the procedure)?
