Update on Queen's Issues or getting a black eye from life...
« on: March 22, 2007, 06:48:26 pm »
Hello My Fellow Forum Members,

I have been requested to start a thread to kinda let you know what's going on with me. I'm also looking for suggestions if any of you have any. I will even accept negative remarks as long as they are not calling anyone names or whatever. You know those pesky rules.. Hmm, where do I start? Let's go with old news and update from there.

As far as the car and the accident goes, after getting some legal counseling, I was told to pay the ticket. In order to prove my innocence, I would end up paying more out of pocket to investigate it. I was and am still truly upset about that. I am out of a car and my insurance company didn't even have my back. They sent no one to look at the damage to my car. So, now I have to pay a $116 ticket, I guess someone isn't getting paid this check day just to keep my license from getting suspended. Thus rob Peter to pay Paul again. Anyhoo, during my rampage I went to Judge Judy's site and got a reply from them today by mail. I called the number and spoke to someone and they will get back with me. Am I doing this for my 15 minutes of fame if they call back, NO. I feel like I got screwed and if Judge Judy can give me some satisfaction, so be it. There will be no reality show spinoff... ;D I still have my car but has found no one to buy the engine and transmission yet. :( In the meantime, I'm like a duck out of water because I have no way to get to doc appointments or grocery shopping. I can walk to my ID doc but that will be changing come July.

Now, speaking of ID doc and related stuff. I had an appointment with him today. My numbers are cd4 261, a drop from 272 and my viral load dropped from 20,000 to 16,000. Still not ready to put me on meds yet but I coulda swore my percentage was 21 before? And now they are 16 percent. He says my body is still putting up a fight and the cd4 drop maybe because of my ear infection which I have had a little over a month. He also is still waiting for my diabetes to calm down. My primary upped the dosage again on the diabetic meds. It's like a waiting game for ID doc. So, he checked my ear, still messed up, now to the point that my face has swollen a little bit. More floxin drops  and an antibiotic, praying this will take it away since the drops aren't working alone.

As I said previously, the clinic I go to is about to move. Today was my clinic nurse's last day, now I got to deal with someone new. ::) I know where they are moving to, still not that far from my house but I do not like the area and now I feel my disclosure will be in jeopardy. The clinic is in the hood basically and in my town everyone kinda knows everyone. I also have to go to another place to get blood drawn, same issue. With things the way they were, I had complete privacy. Now I feel like my medical records are open for reading. I know legally, medical folks aren't suppose to talk but it does happen especially in the black community. Greeeeaaaaat!

I'm still hoping on a miracle about another car. I don't want to go anywhere that wants car notes. My budget is strained enough as it is. I get my rent rebate back in July but that will only be a bit over $300, can't get a car with that. I'm hoping I will have some sort of epiphany....maybe I will have to try to induce one by sparking up.

If you are wondering where I have been or how I am doing that's it in a nutshell. And when I'm feeling extremely stressed, I get to playing my computer/video games. Since you haven't seen me much on here that's where my time has gone. I really don't have any other form of release. And with what I am going through, I don't feel I can be objective when it comes to posting on certain things. I may jump in every now and then but mainly it will probably be in Off Topic.

Ok, I will await your replies, suggestions, sarcasm or whatever else..Thanks for listening...

I forgot to add how important it is that I get another car, so if any of you have any ideas or suggestions on how to do this, I would really like to know. Being without a car will put a stop to a lot of things like doctor appointments, etc..Just wanting to let you know how important this is to me.... Thanks

Thanks Bear. Judge Judy was done on shear desperation, believe me. You should see the damage to my car. And honestly, I wasn't expecting a reply.

Thunter, I don't think I have been away too long but thanks for your concern. Yeah, it is a lot to digest, imagine how I feel..... :(

Lisa~~ I have vented so much that I had to really calm down. It got to the point that I was throwing up for almost a week. I honestly felt that I got screwed by the guy who hit me and the cop who knew I had to leave. If I had the out of pocket money I would've fought it....The best way to get some justice is if I make it on Judy. At least she will look at the pictures I took of my car. Which is more than my insurance company did. If I don't make it there, it is still a lesson learned. I am blessed to have been able to walk away from it.

You're not kidding me! I had to walk away from a five or more, thousand dollar car that I loved for more reasons than I can enumerate here, because this ho ran a stop sign in fornt of me. ....AND   she kept calling my insurance company to pay HER!
My car was in factory condition, despite being a 94,(as I had just sunk a lot of money into it over the previous year)....and frankly, I'm STILL pissed about it.

Queen,

there are moments in life when everything seems to fall apart, one thing after another, and when you think it's over, BHAM! another one.

Remember when was the last time you felt that you couldn't handle more trauma, you have experienced this before, and you have overcome it. In a stressed situation we tend to add every piece that is not perfectly functioning and can't figure out how all this mess could happen at the same time. Take each bit at a time, each one will be resolved one at a time, and don't look at this big blurb of stuff and wondering where to start. Extract, work on it, resolve, and next.

I know it's easier for me to give you those lines than you trying to fix all those problems, I know..

Yeah. You definitely feel my pain. I was slowly restoring my car to her former beauty. I had just put in a $500 system just last year. I was planning on getting it painted. This was my first car, I've only had my license for 2 yrs. same time I have had my car. I had all these plans. So, now I'm back to square one... :'(

I've noticed that when things go badly, they keep going badly for a while... but once the improvement begins, it really is all uphill from there.

I can't believe no one had your back on that... makes me wish I was a lawyer... I would've done it pro bono for you.   :D

Funny, the lawyer I called said on his ad that he represents the "underdog". I guess I was too far under! And Philly, yes it does suck to be me right now and I'm trying to figure out why it's happening...still no answers...I'm a believer of karma but has not done any wrong and tries to be righteous in the things I do..So what gives? I keep looking on the bright side but can't help feeling like Charlie Brown right now. I keep running up to kick the football and Lucy/Life keeps pulling it away.....

Queen, once you have received restitution from Judy I plan to marry you and reveal our two-headed baby to the world on Springer.

Down here in Memphis we would call you a walkin' blues song.

I feel ya,

In regards to a lawsuit.  If you feel you have a case and can sue for damages or something in small claims court, then I say go ahead.  As for Judge Judy..... of course you have to file a claim in small claims court FIRST...and believe me,  once you do that all the Judge Judys will contact YOU .  I am going to court Monday and we got lettrs from those TV shows. I would not go the TV route unless its a last resort.

I don't really know what to say to you....You took my money quick enough and pretty much blew me off when I didn't
offer to send more right away.  I wanted to help you but all I got was a list of things "YOU WON"T DO" and all you wanted
was someone to solve your problems for you.  And that was before your accident....

You left the scene of the accident and didn't even get treated at the scene for injuries...saying you had left something on
the stove (cooking I'm assuming)...  If you were concerned about your place burning up why did you leave something cooking
on the stove to begin with????   That makes no sense to me.....

There are too many things that don't add up and having seen the kind of
gratitude you hand out I'm not inclined to help you any further.
I wish you the best of luck...  I suspect you're going to need it.

Queen,

300 USD would buy you a very nice bicycle to go to the clinic and do the groceries. Allegedly a different lifestyle but also way cheaper, giving you the possibility to work on the financial problems. You can always buy a car when all is well again.

Excuse me, David? What gives here? Yes, you did give me money before and I did accept it. By your words, it was no problem for you and you wanted to help. I did not blow you off, this is where I am lost on your attitude, because after taking your money, I did get a pm from you saying that you had company coming over and you were helping some guys move to Florida and then off to Disneyland or whatever. When you got back you pmed me again and I wrote you back. I hadn't heard from you since then. So how did I blow you off?

Yes, I had to leave the scene of the accident because it took the cop 30-45 minutes to get there. Then more time to get the stop sign from under my car. I had something on the stove, I was concerned about my apt catching fire, what doesn't add up with that? I left it on the stove because I went to the pharmacy to check on a prescription which wasn't in. I would've only been gone 20 minutes if I had not gotten into the accident.
Make sense to you now?

As for my gratitude, I had thanked you so many times that I lost count. What did you want me to do, built a memorial in your honor or suck your dick? Am I suppose to worship you? I really don't appreciate you trying to make me out to be some type of scam artist and since you seem to feel that way, it tells me you didn't know me at all. Maybe you were just trying to help to make yourself look good. That is your choice not to wanna help me but don't make it seem I was less than grateful. One thing I have learned is to now read between the lines when someone "offers" to help you.

I don't need to ignore you....I have more important things going on then to stay focused with you. Thanks for your support....Oh, and when did I want you to do the work for me? If I remember correctly, you had some things you needed to look into, you never did any work for me. And you were suppose to get back with me. And yes, there are some things I will not do, sorry you got a problem with that.

Damn, talk about your Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. But thanks for showing me your true colors. Now I see what they mean when they say money changes people. Methinks someone has a God complex.

For the record, it was not my idea to start this thread, it was suggested by a moderator. Just in case folks now think I was campaigning for money like someone else we all know. So, I will be on my way to the nearest crucifix, oh what, reserved for St. David, my bad. I guess I'll make my way to the pharmacy anf get some ky jelly and make a pit stop by Vlad the Impaler's crib, I"m sure he has a pike with my name on it that I can slide down...

OK, I am going to step in here before things heat up any further.

Queen had PM'd me about being in difficulties and I suggested she let people know what's up since that might be a way to get some fresh suggestions and support about her situation.

Whatever has gone on between her and David is private business as far as I am concerned. So I am saying to each of you that it doesn't need to be aired any further here.

Thanks for your cooperation.

OK, Queen and David, you have each gotten "a lick" in here at each each other. No more!

I'll leave the thread open for responses about the matters which Queen originally brought up, but not for furter quarreling.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Thanks Andy for leaving the thread open but the damage has already been done. I don't think many will want to be helpful due to the accusations that was thrown. I do have one final thing to say to David. The statement you made in your post made no sense other than to get a quick jibe in.....I hope that made you feel manly! There is nothing you can say or do, you are right but I have never done "anything" to myself, whatever the hell that means. Also, I may not be rich when it comes to money but I am strong when it comes to my passion to survive the obstacles that life or others try to put in my way. Being without a car is only a temporary thing, I will have another.

(Who is more than someone's pet charity case)....Sorry, Andy, I had to get that off my chest. If you feel the need to give me a time out, it is understood but I just had to say my piece.

OK, I am going to lock this thread now.

If anyone has any suggestions for Queen I'm going to assume they can be conveyed to her directly.

Queen, let me be clear, the comments about David have to stop here. Whatever went on before between you two is private business and has no place here.

Good luck with getting things squared away successfully.
