Looking for female Partner
« on: June 06, 2012, 11:59:49 am »
Hello friends
I don't know if this is the right place to post this.

I am a POZ middle eastern living in San Mateo -CA, undetectable and healthy, employed, educated etc.. looking for a female partner, and I love to make a small family, one kid would be so lovely,
I posted many times on Craigslist but nothing except spam, I had one successful meeting didn't go further when I mentioned my HIV status.

I am frustrated, I don't know what to say, I contacted some HIV organizations in my area and informed them if you know a female whom might be interested plz contact me,,but this is not a product!
what shall I do?
my parents don't know I am HIV+, and this is why i moved to the US.
PS: I am NOT looking for sponsorship or papers to stay here at all.
thank you

Hey Arab3,

I think you'd be better off going to the Personals section on this site and set up a profile for yourself.

You can set up geographic parameters. You can search for women nearer you. It can be a logistical nightmare -- be forewarned, when you start long distance relationships.

I would encourage you to stay away from Craigslist. Also try HIVnet -- another dating site for positive people.

Keep your guard up. Scammers come in all different shapes and sexes.

I'm going to bet that a moderator will tell you that it's not appropriate for you to post this sort of thread here. But hopefully, you'll have a couple of fresh avenues to pursue via these other sites.

Best of luck to you. I'm old enough to be YOUR mother which I why I replied. And, because I know how difficult it is to serosort your way to heterosexual happiness. Be open-minded. You could find a negative woman who's crazy about you and you could still have an HIV negative child and keep mom/wife negative, too!

I am so sorry to learn the reason you moved to the US was because of your HIV status. That had to be difficult and I'm sure you must miss them.

Em

edited to add: borrowing from another thread -- there's another site I've not tried, but the poster met her husband through it   http://www.lovepositive.com/

Try joining organizations and meeting more people and making new friends in hope to meet someone special, but get yourself happy first for nothing is worst than being desperate and looking for love.

Hi Arab,

You posted on the site two years ago and we gave you some of the same advice then.
