So my partner, well ex partner, is taking so many pills that last night he tried to choke me in front of our friends and told them to go to hell after he has known them for 20+ years. I dont know what to do, he was my life. Is there anything for me to do now, im 20 yrs. old, poz and going through hell.

The obvious answer is to cut your ex out of your life. Until he realises he has a problem with substance abuse, there's nothing you or anyone else can do for him.
What you CAN do, is protect yourself and get away from him. Do whatever it takes, he sounds dangerous.
