Hi

If it was a single lab result I would not worry about it as its just a snapshot moment.
What did your doctor say?

Really very low levels BTW can be related other health options that need attention to malnutrition, drinking too much (alcoholism) etc etc but that does not seem the case with your levels. Again check with your doctor.

Anyhow wishing you well.

Jim

I am with Jim on this one.  Unless you have seen lower Phos. levels repeatedly, there is not really a need to do ANYTHING because of a single low result.  In reality, even repeated results slightly outside the reference range rarely require action.

Do you know what your phos. levels have been in the past?  A reference range (I HATE the fact that docs and labs have begun to INCORRECTLY call these "normal ranges") is merely the range that MOST healthy people in the area have for a test.  If one is outside that range, it doesn't mean anything is wrong (although there could be) -- nor does being inside the range guarantee that everything is OK (although it could be).

You go to a doctor for his/her knowledge -- so, what does your doc say about this single test??  I suspect he/she is not concerned, else you wouldn't be on here asking us what to do, as they would have advised some action.

So -- just get on with your live here -- or, if that proves too difficult, ask your doctor for their thoughts on this test result and/or ask them to repeat it.

Mike

You're probably eating too much Vit C, it's fucking up your phosphorous absorption

Pumpkin seeds? C'mon man, don't go down the rabbit hole

Why not let you doctor advise you and stop trying to micromanage meaningless numbets
