Citalopram and Ritonavir Problems?
« on: April 09, 2015, 02:33:22 pm »
Hi Everyone

I was on a monotherapy trial taking Prezista (darunavir) 800mg + Ritonavir 200mg once a day, but two weeks ago had to add Kivexa (Epzicom) to this due to viral rebound.  Prior to the trial I was taking Kivexa/Epzicom for two years with no problems and I have been tested for an alergic reaction to it, but I don't have it.

No problem with adding the new drug in my head, but....

I also take just 10mg of Citalopram in the morning which was working OK, but since starting the Kivexa/Epzicom I am having massive panic attacks and anxiety.

Has anyone else experienced the same?  The clinic says to keep on with the Kivexa/Epzicom as it might settle down, but I am worried why they have come just out of the blue?

Does anyone else take Citalopram and what are your experiences?  Or would you recommend taking another SSRI instead?

Thanks for any help with this!

I should add that I have been taking the 10mg of Citalopram for about 5 years with no problems.... but all of a sudden it doesn't seem to work?
