December Birthdays
« on: November 30, 2009, 12:12:22 pm »
I can't believe it's here already, but once again, it's time to wish a Happy Birthday to all those born in December.   Here are the ones I am aware of, feel free to add yourself if I've left you off:

Brian (Quarterhorse)
Cerrid
Daniel Mark
Emeraldize
Florida69
Gary (Lou-ah-vull)
jason304
John (dixieman)
Michael (tinydaniel)
Ray
Robert
Whizzer
wishful

Happy birthday to each of you, and may you have many many more!

This will be my final birthday posting in "Living With HIV".  The forums have grown so large, the birthday threads are becoming obsolete, as I cannot possibly request and keep track of everyone's birthday.
I may try to continue the tradition in the LTS forum, which makes it more manageable for me.

I sincerely do wish each and every person in the forums a very happy and joyous birthday when your special day rolls around.  Birthdays have always had special meaning for me; unlike major holidays, they are your own "personalized holiday" and I enjoy celebrating them.   My own birthdays have held a much more significant meaning for me, ever since 1987.

Love to all,

Alan

Happy birthday to all the December babies!  I'd like to add my brother's, mother's, and middle son to the mix.

Special shout outs to my girl Em and Uncle Roberto :-*

Alan, thank you for your years of commitment to the birthday thread.  I don't think they are obsolete, but understand the enormity of the task. I'd love to see someone take over this task if possible.  I'm sure Alan will email (?) the birthday lists. (PLEASE correct me Alan if I just over-stepped my bounds).

Happy Birthday to all the people born in December....  probably the worst month to be born in from a kid's point of view.....

Thanks Alan, and thank you mates. You cannot imagine what it means to me, I really appreciate it.

It's always been an odd feeling to have birthday on the same day as WAD, and even more since my own diagnosis. Time to celebrate sure, and happy to have it made for another round, but at the same time sad to remember that close friends are not here anymore to join the celebration just because they caught the bug a few years earlier than me. It may sound funny, but to me, birthday candles are not just candles. I hate to blow them out. Too many candlelight marches, I suppose.

Anyways, Happy Birthday to my fellow sagittarians (and capricornians)! Have a blast!  :-*

I'll add my own birthday to the list. Fortunately, mine is toward the beginning of the month; my mom and brother-in-law don't have it as good - theirs are just a day or so before Christmas.

And AlanBama, nice to know there is someone on here close to me geographically.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE!

Alan, I'd be happy to take over the birthday list. I'll PM you my email address so you can send it to me.

Hugs for all the December Babies!

Ann

edited to say...  If anyone else would like to take over the list, that's ok too. I'm here pretty much everyday, so I just thought it would be easy for me to take care of, but if anyone else would really like to do it I'm absolutely fine with that. I just didn't want to sorta barge in and take it over if someone else is interested.

Ut-oh, I've come up against a problem. Alan's list in in Excel, and I don't have Office on the laptop I'm currently using. I don't really want to put it on this one either, because it doesn't have much memory. I do have another laptop which I could put Office on, but I'm having problems with that laptop. Think I bought a lemon. :-\

Anyway, I've been using Google documents on this machine and I think they have a program that's compatible with Excel, so I'll have to check that out. I won't be able to get to this until tomorrow though. I think I might be able to sort this out by January, but I'm not sure. So, like I said earlier, if anyone else is interested in doing this, feel free to step up.

Yay! Success! :) I've got my other laptop back up and running again (yay #1) and (yay #2) I was able to import Alan's Excel spreadsheet into a Google spreadsheet. Now I can access the list from anywhere.

Alans list is all purty and colour coded and everything!

Thank you for doing this for so many years, Alan. You're a gem.  :-*

Hugs,
Ann

Thank you so much Alan for remember all of us, and working so hard to remember our birthdays.  It is so very nice of you.  My birthday is 21 days away and I am hitting the big 4 0  this year.  Thank you again, everyone.  D

Mikie (Leatherman) contacted me via PM and offered to take this over, and as he's better with computers than I am, I said yes. With all the computer problems I've had in the past few months, I was secretly afraid I'd lose the whole darn thing.

So really, the thanks for the continuation of the Birthday List goes to Mikie. Thanks, Mikie!  :-*
