Proof of the pudding
« on: January 04, 2009, 08:15:06 pm »
Hey gang,

I will be fasting tonight to have blood drawn in the morning.

This will be the first labs done since I started taking Lescol, Tricor, upped my fish oil to 6,000 mgs a day, increased my exercise and altered my eating habits to something a bit healthier than they were.

Of course, this is coming on the heels of the holidays too, during which I did allow myself some indulgences

It tried to get the doc to put off the labwork for a few weeks, at least long enough for any deviations from the new eating habits to be less noticeable.

But, the doc wasn't going for it. I guess the fact I forgot to get labs done a while back probably had something to do with it.

I haven't had my usual CD4, etc., done since early June. But, at this point, what's a few more weeks?

The doc didn't think that reasoning was too sound.

So, tomorrow, I will head over to the hospital and get poked. At least I hope I will. It's been snowing here all day.

Anyway, wish me luck on these labs. Let's hope all this effort will amount to some good news.

HUGS,

Mark

Surely you don't have to fast after 6PM, shit, what a drag.

You need to get poked Mark, and I say that with the same sincerety that Ann did.  :)

Just a quick update.

I wasn't able to have my labs done yesterday. It snowed most of the morning and I couldn't hold out.

I finally ate at about noon.

I redid the fast last night, slid and slided my way to the hospital this morning and got poked.

Keep those fingers crossed. I think I will need all the luck I can get. I was very naughty the past few weeks.

HUGS,

Mark
