I think I was about 10 yrs old when I bought my first 45 record. This was back in the day of transistors and AM radio. Yeah, I'm pretty old but a good tune will stand the test of time like this one has, imho.

Talking about the first songs ever hearing,this one was what I ever first heard from the cassette player my mom had (we still have many cassettes that my mom recorded),but I remember this one.
It's a song about the "gypsies life" and how the boss that they work for discriminates against them or something haha.

Its been a miserable week for sure here in Portland.
The smoke from the fires were so bad, seeped into my
house, and into our lungs, leaving an itchy irritation and
ashy taste in my mouth.. and outside was worst.

Yet we in the city were the lucky ones bc the fires didn't
reach us.

Today it rained, and I didn't smell that smokie nastiness.
I don't think in my entire life I was ever more grateful to
get rained on..  :)

Climate change I believe is much causing much havoc. A neighbor of mine insist that climate change is also responsible for Covid-19.. I don't know about all that but it really has been the most fucked up of years.

With all that's been going on (in the world and in our lives),it's easy to be sad and give up.
However,I choose not to do so. Sometimes I think "oh man,the universe keeps messing my life up",but I realise that I'm no longer a child and I don't have to complain and be sad. So I listen to these songs ,give the universe the middle finger and live my life as best as possible.

I listen to rock, pop, cpuntry, and some metal. I also lime some classical music. I grew up with a Mom who likes Opera, Boy George, and Simon & Garfunkel. While my Dad liked country and Norwegian music. Currently I've been stuck on Hush Hush by the pistol Annies.
