Title: a message from Mini - in her own words
Post by: minismom on December 10, 2007, 07:58:10 am: I take different medicines. My different medicines are the yucky medicine and the pills. There are some other people here from all over the world who are like me. People even from Texas! Do you have to take yucky medicine, too? Does your mommy put milk in your meds so they taste better? My mommy does. I hope you all get better and can come to my birthday party which is in August (date deleted by mum...sorry). I will be 8 years old. Thank you. Goodbye.

I live on a big Rock in the middle of the Irish Sea. I get to fly on an airplane to see my special doctor, because we don't have any special doctors here on the Rock.

"The Rock" is my silly name for where I live - it's really called the Isle of Man. (we have girls and women here too ;) )

I've heard you're a really good dancer - maybe you can teach me some steps one day.

The Isle of Man is a funny name for your house. I don't get to ride in an airplane, but my paw-paw can fly them. And helicopters, too. I like to ride on roller coasters. My mom has to drive me to Dr. Muffin's (her nickname for her PID) office in our truck. My mom said I can't tell you my phone number. My mom is my teacher of homeschool. And, my dad, too. We clean up our rooms all by ourselves. Sometimes, dad helps us. He doesn't like to. And I live in WV mountains where we have boys and girls, too. That's it. Thank you. Good bye.

Someday you can see my dance class. Maybe I can teach you some of it. And me and my sister has a bunkbed. My little sister and brother just have regular beds. And only the dog that I have is my stuffed animal Lacey. Lacey is the only dog that can count and she can count to 15. I have more stuffed animals. I love animals. Someone is sending me a teddy bear from Germany. I have to go do my work - dad says. Oh, and thank you.

My house isn't called the Isle of Man, it just has a number. The country I live in is called the Isle of Man. It's an island. Maybe you can learn more about it at your homeschool.

Do you have the top bunk or the bottom bunk? I like the top, but when you have the bottom you can hang blankets all around and make your own bed-tent. Ever try that? It's fun.

We can't have your phone number, but we can write to each other on the computer when your mom helps you. ;)

Some of the meds are gross, yes! I take mine with fruit juice sometimes just to get'em down my throat. I also like animals--they're great to have around. I have several kinds of animals on a small farm in Ohio. Three pygmy goats (small goats), nine llamas, six dogs, and two cats and one pot bellied pig named Georgie! Georgie is a really funny guy and smarter than the average pig. You ought to hear the noises he makes when I give him sweet peas to eat. Funny stuff.

My name is Kate, and I live in England - part of a bigger island, kinda next door to the one that Ann lives on. I take my meds with milk sometimes, usually just with boring old water though - but I do have a special cup I like to use, with a bendy-twirly straw.

How was school today? Maths used to be one of my favourite subjects too - I also liked art, & learning about different parts of the world and the people who live there.

Sounds like you were the star of your dance recital the other night! I used to do ballet and modern dance, a long time ago. I don't think I ever had a tambourine though - just a floaty scarf to wave around (which always made me feel a bit silly)

The pill I take is too big and I always have to cut it in half. I hope to hear more from you...

I have to take pills every day and they aren't yucky but sometimes they make me feel yucky. That doesn't happen very much, though , so I don't mind taking them.

I live in Austin, which is the capital of Texas. It's a city, but my dad has a small ranch that is not far away. He has horses and cattle, and there are wild pigs that live around there, too. Sometimes they come into the yard and tear up all the grass so my dad had to put a different kind of fence up to keep them out.

My name is Jan and I live way over the other side of the world in New Zealand..can you imagine that while you are having your winter snow we are having our summer and it's getting really hot here now..so at Christmas we have BBQ's out in the back yard or on the beach...how strange is that.

I have posted you a photo of couple of the animals that I have on my little farm, I hope you like them...the Alpaca is called Carlos and the goatis called Jenni, we have 7 Alpacas, 6 goats, 7 sheep 11 chickens and two dogs.

Thank you for inviting us to your to your birthday party, it's a shame I live so far away from everyone..

Give mummy a big hug for me, you are so lucky to have each other.

I love your horse, your chickens, and the llama, and the goat and the baby fat pig, and the baby mouse thingy (wambat). I love unicorms but they aren't real, I know that. Everyday in the morning I have to do school like my big brother. Only,he goes to school and I have homeschool. I used to go to school but now I have homeschool. I sleep on the top of the bunkbed and my sister sleeps on the bottom. My yucky medicine isn't my pill medicine. My yucky medicine is liquid. They are called zerit and kaletra. They get mixed together and then mommy puts milk in it. My pills are called susteva and I take that and my fish oil with my juice or sometimes my tea. Now I have to go to bed because my dad says. Mom said I could write and tell you all good night and look at the pictures you sent me. Maybe I will draw you a picture and my mom will send it to you. I'll look on my map tomorrow and see where you are and you can look on your map and see where I am. Now daddy says I really have to go to bed. Hope you will write back to me - this is really fun. Hehehehe. He does look like a mouse, doesn't he? :)

Actually he's not a mouse. He's a marsupial. Marsupials are found only in Australia, Papua New Guinea and North America. You might be familiar with his cousins, the opossums.

When he grows up, he'll look something like a badger.

I live in Michigan, our state is shaped like a giant mitten. It's getting quite cold here now, time to wear our mittens. We gets lots of snow here in the winter, the boys and girls like to build snowmen.
I have been through the mountains of WV a few times, it's just beautiful! Do you get any snow there?
I also like to dance..in my livingroom! :) Dancing makes me feel good!

Here's a picture of my dog Buddy, he is a big sweetheart! He loves to cuddle :) Don't let him fool you, he does not sleep in his doggie bed, he sleeps with me. We use his bed for a toybox ;D

I would send a picture, but alas, I don't have a digital camera. And I don't know how to use my scanner to put the picture on here. We are getting freezing rain right now, which makes it really yucky to drive around in. A lot of slipping and sliding. I hope you're having pretty good weather where you're at. For Christmas, I want some boy Barbie dolls because i already have girls, and I want banoculars and a telescope. I like to play with my toys but sometimes we don't take care of them. We torture them and break them .(mom says, "torture"? ???) I hope you all have a really good Christmas. Mom needs to teach me how to do the computer so I can write my letters myself. They are going to take a picture of my brain (mom edits: MRI) and give me gas to sleep. And put in a IVS (I.V.) when I'm asleep. I can't eat anything and I think I'm gonna starve all the way to death. Do you know what your brain looks like?

School was fine. But I had a little trouble with my math. I like to color and drawed a picture that I was having a snowball fight and going sledding. I read about fish in the ocean. I didn't do my alphabetical order. (mom says, "whoops!") I like when it snows but it is only raining. And even when it snows and other schools are closed, mom says our school isn't gonna close.

That's all . I just had my nap. Make sure you write a note back (mom says, "told you she was a queen!")

Sometimes it makes my stomach upset, but I know it is keeping me well so I take it everyday. Your a brave little girl and I am glad I have had the chance to talk to you online. It hasnt' been snowing that much in WV. For Christmas, i want Santa to bring me a trampoline, banoculars, and a telescope. And boy Barbies. And girl Barbies because my brothers broke the arms off my other Barbies. And, I want some Barbie clothes and I want a toy puppy. I also want my own computer to type to you on. I want a mirror and a guittar, no a keyboard, it's easier to play the keyboard and sing in the microphone. I need an alarm clock that rings because I never know when it's morning 'cuz my eyes are closed.

My room is yellow and it has pink curtains. It has a toy kitchen and my bunkbed. It has my blue blocks. It has a purple carpet floor. (mom says, it's NOT purple) Right now it's messy a lot and we never clean it up. I was supposed to clean it up today, but I didn't so i can't watch quiet time.

Good night, I have to go clean my room or go to bed. Then at 7 o'clock I have to take my meds and brush my teeth and eat my vitamen and go to sleep.

I'm Nadine's husband, and Buddy the dog sleeps with us all the time. he loves kids. he would sit up and beg you to pet him. he is a silly doggie.

I am a diabetic and can't have sugar so I have to make cookies with Splenda. Mom got me candy canes made with Splenda, too. You made a A in math that's good for you! I had trouble with math yesterday but I finished it. It's raining today and windy. I'm going shopping but I don't know what for. Mom has to buy more art paper. Dad is on his way home so I have to get on my raincoat to go shopping. I'll talk to you later.

I've had peach cobbler made with the brown sugar Splenda has which was really good. I've got to go out today too. My daughter, who lives in the state of Washington, wants me to mail her some of the cookies and fudge I made. I also have to go get some blood taken out of my arm for a test called a phenotype. That's where they draw blood, and use all the different medicines against the HIV and see which ones go past the medicine. (Sorry, I don't know how to make it easier to understand). That way, the doctor will know which medicines to put me on next. I hope you have a good time shopping!

Dr. Muffin said I can if my bloodwork in May is good. I want to learn to swim in the deep water. I can jump off the diving board with my lifevest on but I can't jump off the diving board in the deep water without it or I will drown. Someday, mom is going to teach me how to sew and do that hooking (mom screams, "CROCHETING!"). I have to take my bloodwork,too. They take a needle and poke it into my arm right in the middle. They don't put me to sleep but I don't say "ow!" or cry. Then I get to pick a prize. And I like pizza! And I like cheetoes and bananas. I like icecream and brownies and i like cookies and jello and cake. What do you like to eat?

We went shopping today and got art paper and crayons. I was looking in the store then we ate at Ryans. I walked with mom in the craft store. We went into the game place. Now daddy has to go fix our lights. My favorite colors are pink, red, and yellow. What are your favorite colors?

We are having his party on Saturday. Mom's making breaksfast for the party at supper time. We are going to sing Christmas songs to old people on tomorrow night. My favorite blanket was sent to me by my Aunt Kate all the way from England. The same Kate that gave you the marshmallow recipe. Kate is especially nice to dogs and children. I like her very much. It's Tim. Guess what? We've got lots of deer here, too. They come through the yard a lot. We sometimes have bears, too. I think I may have a new black dog now. He came to my porch a few days ago and has stayed. I am glad he may keep the bears away, but I wish I could still see the deer. His barking may keep them away, too. It's OK, though because he is sweet and likes to run around the yard a lot.

That doesn't sound very good, but I do like ham and cheese sandwiches for my lunch. My favorite animal is a pony. We have 2 horses next door. We named them Thunder and Lightening but I don't know what the real names are. If the guy comes again and we see him we'll ask if we can ride them. We feed them apples from our tree but not carrots because mom said we have to eat those not the horses. My paw-paw has a bear rug made out of a real bear and a wolf rug, too. (mom adds that the pelts were given to paw-paw by the DNR in Alaska when he was flying long-line. He did NOT kill either one.)

In school we learned about snowflakes and snowmen. We made some snowflakes and put them on our big window which is in the living room. Today for lunch I'm gonna have ham with melted cheese with cheese puffs. What will you have for lunch? I have to go back to therapy with Mrs. Joan again after Christmas and after they take a picture of my brain. I took fishoil today and it makes me fart. (mom says, "good grief! ::)

My name is mikie and I live in Ohio. I've enjoyed reading about you and your family. My family is me, my boyfriend (Jim) and three boy cocker spaniels (Joxer, Aries, and Zeus).

When I was just a kid, I was the oldest brother and had two little brothers. After our parents would set up the natvity, we used to be bad and hide the baby Jesus!! :o Mom and Dad would come home from work to find him (the baby Jesus) on top the barn, or behind the camels and sheep, or sometimes even lying on the star! We weren't too bad though - we never moved him too far away. We didn't want to get into trouble and not get any presents for Christmas. ;)

Thanks for talking about your Nativity and making me remember what me and my brothers did. I'll call them on the phone this weekend (they live down in NC) and we'll probably all laugh about how silly we were.

Oh, I take some icky medicine too; even though it makes me throw up some, it does keep me well. I used to take the same kind that you take now and I mixed it in milk too. It still tasted icky; but it did help. I take different medicines now; but none that make me fart. ;D At my house it's the dog Joxer that farts! :o That's okay we still love him even he does gross us out sometimes. He's funny in the summer because we have a pool and he just loves to go swimming. I have to keep the gate locked to keep him out!

She's not very happy that she's not been able to write. She has had a couple of late nights (including tonight) and has had to go to bed as soon as we get home. She has also been sleeping a lot during the day as she is now pretty ill. The stuffy crap that was in her head is now in her chest :(. She's back on breathing treatments to keep it broken up. Prayerfully she'll feel better tomorrow and stay awake long enough to write.

Mom said I don't have to have school today but I want to have school because I don't want to stay by myself in bed. That's just too boring! I can't go play in the snow. Mom says it's too cold and i'm still coughing. Do I have a fever, mom? (mom says, "no, hun.") I don't have a fever. I have to go eat my breakfast. I'm having toasted bread and tea. I can't have milk, but I want milk. I cried last night when I went to bed because I didn't want to go to bed.

Then, I had to have a x-ray but they wouldn't let me see the picture. They gave me more medicine to take and I dont' know what else to say. Oh, then me and mom went to Long John Silvers and I had chicken and a granola bar that still closed up. (My sister)'s stocking fell down off the sticker thingy. Maybe it's too heavy. We went shopping and saw my uncle, no names, right mom? (right!) and my nana. My uncle (mum's brother) is coming today from his house. I tihnk he lives in Louisiana (he does). He's going to the airport and my nana and pawpaw will pick him up and drive him back to their house then we can see him but not today. We are going to sing to old people at the nursing home today after dinner. A whole bunch of really old people live there - even older than my mom and dad and nana and grammy (her great grandma). I got a letter from Santa in the mail today. He wrote it to me and mailed it and I got it. Mom and dad read it to me. I wrote him a letter and he wrote me a letter just like you do.

Thank you for sending me the picture of Georgie and the bear. Mom said that is not the bear that I'm getting from Germany but it was a nice bear anyway.

I'm gonna hear the dog sing, I just farted hehehehe, that Sam sent me a picture of. He makes me laugh. Ok that's all I have to say.

There was no cake at the nursing home so we didn't get to eat any. If there was cake I still couldn't eat it 'cuz it probably wasnt' sugar-free. Then we sang some songs. Daddy fussed at me and I cried all the way home. I'm still coughing even though I have to take my coughing medicine the doctor gave me yesterday. My nose didnt' run in my covers when I was sleeping. My nose issues are gone but I still have my cough issues. It is almost getting close to Christmas time. My sister wants 10 babies for Christmas. I do NOT think she'll get 10 babies for Christmas. Mom says that would be greedy. I'm eating Special K chocolate and bacon and apple juice for breakfast. I had my yukky meds already.

Dad got a new T.V. for Christmas but he found mom's hiding place and opened it up a long time ago.

I have nothing else to say. Bye! Where is Lola and Buddy?

The wee one who insists on listening to all the doggy songs ever second of the day has significant hearing loss in her right ear and is blind in her right eye. Therefore, she must listen to the songs over and over at a truly ungodly volume and sit practically on top of the computer to see. While the music is going, she also screams at the top of her lungs - her version of singing - to out do the volume of the song. I'm not a mean mummy, but my poor ol' ears can only take so much ;) And, yes, she got to listen to all the doggy songs after mini's last post.

mum (who probably shouldn't sabotage her own daughter's thread to defend herself :P)

Lola is at her other daddd'ys house for the week.
I have her visit him, because the two of them like each other very much.

Lola hasn't been out much because we had frost all day long yesterday today end tomorrow...
Although she likes to play in the snow.
A couple of years ago Lola jumped in a snowpile. but some careless person left a broken bottle in the sand at the beach. lola did not see it because it was covered with snow.
So she got hurt badly and I had to rush her to the hospital. She cried a lot of doggytears and she had to have surgery.
but finally it all healed well and she can almost jump and run as she used to.

Now, I am going to eat my dinner as it is 6 m here in Belgium

I live in New York City. I don't have any pets of my own, but one of my sons, who is a young grownup has 3 animals. His name is Ben and he has Luna, a dog he rescued five years ago, Opie, a very big black and white cat he inherited from his used-to-be-girlfriend and Boris, whom he got about 5 years ago when he was a tiny mew mew kitten. Boris is very mischievous and likes to swing on everything, get into cabinets he's not supposed to and start fights with Luna and Opie. He also likes when Ben brings groceries into the house in a cardboard carton which he jumps into and after a while tries to tear apart.

Opie's a big cat and doesn't take nonsense from Boris or anyone. Opie especially likes to sit in a big wooden bowl on the dining room table. He's so big he fills it up and looks very happy and contented when he does that.

Luna is very sweet. She's part pit bull and something else with a very pointy nose and big standing up ears. When she's excited she does what we call "Luna's excited dance," when she sneezes and turns around a lot of times in circles. She's very sweet and loves licking faces and behind ears.

I'll have to ask Ben if he can give me some photos I can enter here so you can see what his gang looks like.

Our uncle came and we put up our Christmas tree - Andy doesn't know about that right because he just got here. It's sunny and the snow is almost all gone. Dad told me I had to do 10 pages in my workbook. Mom let me do 6 and said it was enough for now because she has to cook lunch and the table is a mess from us playing playdough and cutting and coloring and making the mess.

Why can't we go to New York City? I have never been to New York City. I told my uncle on the phone about that I write to people on the computer and they write back to me and we are friends. My uncle said it's called a blog but mom says it's not but I say it's just called writing letters and looking at animals. He wants to read it. I said it was alright. He's not coming over because he has to go shopping. We are going to leave later and go out to dinner and get the Honda tire fixed because it is very very flat to the ground and dad can't drive it that way. We will take the Honda and the truck because we don't fit in the Honda but we do fit in the truck.

Oh, yeah, that's all I have to say. My sister wants to see the doggy song when he sticks his tongue out and has crazy eyes. Mom has to listen to all the songs again. My sister is licking the laptop...that's just gross. Ok, I have nothing else to say to anybody. Bye!

And we went to Target so dad could use the bathroom and to the Dollar Tree and that's all the places we went in the mall. Then, we went to see Christmas lights but dad said people are cheap this year and didn't put up a lot of lights. This kind of lamp that is hooked to the table don't like to stay put where they belong. Dad found my glasses and then I lost them again. Can we listen to some music, now? Don't forget to hook it up to the TV! I still haven't seen my uncle but I got to talk to himon the phone.

(mom says, "there are no more secrets in this house. And, for the record, we did buy the popcorn at the theatre.") We listened to the burping bugs and my brother farted the song with his armpit. He does that all the time and my mom fusses at him and tells him that its just nasty and doesn't sound very nice but he does it anyway because he likes to. Now we're going to watch "The Magic Schoolbus: Bugs" for our quiet time and then meds and bed. Dad said we have to clean tomorrow but I dont' want to clean tomorrow or really any day. We had waffles for dinner because that is what Alvin and (what's the other guys names, mom?) Oh, yeah, Simon and Theadore. That's what they like to eat all the time in the movie so we ate some for our dinner. I had 4 with my splenda syrup that looks like a little cabin in the woods.

Today is the last day for my other medicine. I have to take my yukky meds for longer so i don't get sick. I have 3 more days until Christmas and my brother keeps burping in my face. Dad is making me an omelet for breakfast with cheese on it. I have to clean my room today and we will do it fast but my baby sister keeps messing it all up >:( and I don't like that but mom and dad say that I still have to clean it but I can't when she keeps messing it up! She's always doing that and making me play when I'm supposed to be cleaning up and i get in trouble. THAT'S why I don't like to clean my room but dad says that's too bad I have to do it whether I like it or not. That's all I have to say because i'm hungry.

We went to church today and we ate some cupcakes and fruit for a Happy Birthday Jesus party. Today, my brothers and sisters got some new color books. I got some new gloves and a glow-up pen from my teacher. Sometimes I don't clean my room because everything looks different now. Because before there weren't Christmas decorations in stores and at home but there is now...that's different.(mom says, " ???") My dad went downstairs to wrap mom's presents because he always waits until it's almost too late to wrap them up. Dad says it's not Christmas yet, so he's not late about it.

I got a telescope and a new Barbie, and My Little Pony(s), and Heelies - the shoes with the wheels on the bottom. And I got stamps and that's pretty much it. Oh, yeah, and I got more costumes and funny glasses that look like dollars and hearts but they are way too big for me. And, i got more food and dishes and a mixer and stuff for my kitchen. My sister is yelling that she wants to see the dogs and is kissing mom's hand and coughing all over the computer and saying that all the puppies are HERS when they are really mine and I'm only sharing. My grammy (her great grandmother) got us a new Wii but the games are too hard for me to play. I did the bowling game and the ball went flying backwards and knocked out all the other people on my team and we lost cuz they all went flying into the air and landed in different places. And I got Ariel pajamas that show my belly when i raise my arms. Mom said it's ok for me to wear things that show my belly at the house but not when we go places. I just woke up and I don't know what else to say because of it. Mom and Dad are definately not putting up our trampoline today because it's cold and raining. It's not Christmas any more but the tree is still up and so are our stockings but there's nothing in it. I'm going to get my blanket...be right back. We got some, some people call them sea creatures, and jungle animals and legos and more playdough. Mom will never let us go into the deepsea until we grow up. I can't do my Heelies really good and I fall and break my honkus (butt) when I try.

My mom said it's when we go from December 2007 to January 2008 and everything starts over again. Ok. I still don't know what that means. Mom says we watch a parade, but she's not sure if that's the right day or not. Dad isn't here or we'd ask him. He's dropping off my brother to spend the night with my cousin and my other cousin is coming to spend the night at our house. We'll have to ask him when he comes home and see if that's the day for the parade (Rose Bowl?). Maybe some people will come over to our house or we'll go to their house. I don't know. Now my cousin will see what we got for Christmas because he hasn't been here for a long time and just moved here from his old house. That's all I have to say. What will you do on New Year's Day? Do you know if there is a parade on TV that day?

We went over to Ivan's house (that is a cat who used to live here) I don't think he remembered me, he was scared and puffed up! Most of the time he just stayed under the couch, but we did sniff noses a couple of times.

Santa brought me a new collar, lots of treats and a new baby. Mom was surprised that it took me 24 hours to tear the stuffing outta him ;D I got the squeaker out, but Mom took it away from me, she was worried that I might swallow it :-\

My bicycle still has training wheels. You can borrow mine and my brother's heelies and we could put them on your feet and then you go that way. Or, you could use my scooter and scoot around but you can't reach the handles to turn so i can ride in the back and steer.

Ivan is just a big boy Mini...he did not eat any Christmas dinner, but I sat up and begged from everyone! MmmMmm I did not eat my doggie food that night! I even snuck and ate some of Ivan't kitty food...shhh...don't tell anyone! ;D

I'm thinking about what I want for snack and i can't take too long. I think I'm going to have a nice cold apple. I'm going to my Nana's house to take the stair pictures again. When we took them at Christmas one of my sisters wouldn't cooperate with PawPaw and cried and yelled. So now we're going to go take the pictures because she said she would do it today. Dad is digging in the trash to see if my other sister threw mom's MP3 player away. We don't know if she did or if she didn't, but she wont' tell us where it is and we can't find it - not even when mom said she would give us $5 if we found it! If daddy finds it in the trash, then he gets the $5. Wednesday is when i get my brain picture done. It's really a video of my brain but we don't get to see it or bring it home. Mom said she'll ask for a picture but she doesn't know if we can or not. I will just take a nap and when i wake up and drink my juice then we can leave and go to IHOP. That's all I have to say because now I have to finish my apple and put on my dress and stockings to get ready for my picture at Nana's house. OH, and I got a special white teddy bear and a special brown teddy bear from Germany. They came in a little box. Now that's all. Bye for real this time!

That means it's gonna be a brand new year and we have to start all over again from the beginning and I get to have another birthday but not tomorrow, I have to wait till August. I'm playing playdough with my brothers and sisters and we're not mixing any of the colors together. We took our stairs picture with deer antlers on! Mine had a Santa hat on them, too. It was like a headband with antlers and a santa hat. My brother is being rude and yelling into the phone while daddy is trying to talk. Dad said we are going to have fun today but I dont' know what that means because sometimes he thinks what we're doing is fun but it is only fun for him and not for us kids. I know we're going to Walmart because we need milk and my meds. Oh, yeah, my PawPaw said that tomorrow they WILL have the flower parade (Rose bowl parade) and mom said we can sit and watch it. Then the next day after that, I'm off to have my brain pictures but it's supposed to snow and I hope we can still go because i want to see my brain and go to IHOP.

I'm going back to play with my playdough again. Bye! Maybe I'll write you a letter later and tell you what we did today.

Post by: minismom on December 31, 2007, 06:52:34 pm: Today I got new shoes when we went shopping. They are Tinkerbell ones and are brown and bluish green on them (mom says,"turquios"). My sister got light up Strawberry Shortcake shoes and my brother got just green and black light up shoes. My shoes don't light up. Then we went to the mall and got some new books and got some party food for tonight. We rented some movies so we can all stay up and see the New Year and then go to bed. Now I'm going to color and mom's about to cook our party food. She's gonna make some llittle pizzas and tacos and sausages with bar-b-que sauce. And she got some chips and dip and hot salsa stuff so we can make nachos and cheese and salsa. We're gonna have tea and lemonade - pink lemonade,actually - to drink. Mom said if we don't puke she'll be lucky. Dad laughed at us. OK, I will pray for all my friends and Lola and Buddy and Poppy and Georgie and Hollie and Sam the weenie hot dog. Mom said this is the last letter that I wil write you this year. I still don't understand about starting over and what having a new year means but mom said I'll figure it out as we go along.

And my favorite part of that song was when that dog was laying down and you couldn't tell which end was his head and the one with the big long tongue in the peanut butter jar. Buddy, thank you for the picture. I still need to draw one so that mommy can show it to you. Happy New Year! I stayed clear up 'til the ball dropped and then I cried because I didn't want to go to bed. (mom corrects by saying, "No, dear, you were just way too tired.") No, I didn't want to go to bed and daddy made me cry. Tomorrow is my brain shot. I'm not nervous or scared and I hope they have a toy surprise there. Do, they, mom? (I don't konw) I can't eat anything after I go to bed until after my MRI. I'm gonna be starving to death. Oh, after my MRI, I get to go to IHOP. I get to color the gas mask with whatever flavor chapstick i want because the gas stinks. Then, I will go to sleep and wake up and go eat at IHOP. Dad says if the snow is bad, we can't go and then you'll REALLY see me cry because I want to go eat at IHOP. Bye!

Ok, this is mum and I just want to thank Sam. Because of him and all the wonderful videos, hubby has decided that the kids "need" a dog and a dachshund looks like a good choice since they don't shed. But, we'll have to find one that's house broken. ;D

Last night we drove to a hotel because we weren't sure we were gonna make it so we went to a hotel room. They sent me home a great big brain CD. And, yes, yes, yes, Sam, my brain looked like fat ol' gummy worms and my eyes are sticking out on the one where they show the top of my head. I look like a bug with big antenna! I need to go change because I want to . Oh, my mom had to sew my pants on because when I put them on at the hotel, they fell off all down to the floor. So, she went and asked for a safety pin, but a lady gave her a needle and thread and sewed them up in the waist. That's all.

Post by: minismom on January 03, 2008, 10:51:59 am: Are those gummy worms or a picture of your brain, Sam? My pictures are only black and white and grayish with no colors. In one picture, my eyes look like they are bugging out like an alien! I left my Lacy Dog at the hotel and daddy had to call and see if they would lock it in the office for me. The lady said she would put it in the office and we are going to get her tomorrow before we go and eat at IHOP. I like chocolate chip pancakes but I can't have any because I can't have the sugar. Sometimes mommy lets me cheat, can I cheat mom? (we'll see, hun). But I have to eat my sugar-free syrup with it. I just love pancakes and syrup and bacon. I like eggs, too, but I used to not like eggs but then I tasted them again and I like eggs only if they are scrambled and brown and yellow and not just yellow with water on the bottom of them. Mommy and Daddy are cleaning the school room so we can have school starting on Monday. My brothers and sisters want to have school everyday but I don't want to have school forever. I'm learning how to read and spell and count my money but I still don't like to be in school. That's all I have to say.

Then we went grocery shopping and to the car wash. i ate a cheese om-a-lent and 2 big ol' pancakes and mom's bacon and then I was still hungry but we ran out of food. Then we went to the grocery store and got some jello for my friend who is in the hospital and lives in a weird place that doesn't have jello. Now I'm eatting my apple. The snow is melting and we can't go play because it is just all way too muddy and awful. Mom is making bean soup (chili) for supper and I'm starving. Mom says that's nothing new and I can't help it that I'm hungry all the time. I'm thirsty now and need a drink and mom put gems in my hair this morning before we left. Now i want her to take them out. That's all I have to say.

If you did, in our state IHOP is good and I had pancakes and an omelet. It has been a long time for me to write to all my friends. I got to get Lacy dog from the hotel, too. I know I said that before, but I thought we were gonna go back to the hotel and stay again, but we didn't. Maybe we can visit you some day. Maybe you can visit us one day or we can visit you. My Paw-Paw goes to different countries, too to fly his helicopters. He's been in the woods before to save people who are lost. Has he been to your country? Have you seen him yet? Maybe he can fly me when he goes to work and I can visit.

It's already been a long day today. Tonight I go back to dance class. I don't know if I'm glad to go back to dance class. I'm a little not ready yet. I want to take karate classes, but mom and dad say that may be too much for me right now. I practice karate on my brothers and sisters, though. How old are you? Can I ask that, mom? (yes, but they may not answer) Oh, and that's for your dogs and cats, too.

How are Sam, Lola, Hollie, Poppy, Ollie, Buddy, and the dog with the name I can't remember (Kaiser)? Oh, and Georgie the fat belly pig and the wambat? Did I forget anybody, mom? (I dont' know). Next time it's Christmas, I want a pony. Mom says "good luck!" Today is going to be a great day even when I have to have school today. What are you going to do today?

I got her from a place called "Pet Refuge" in my city I live in. It's a shelter for doggies and kitties. I got her two years ago. She is doing just fine. I am 42 years old (I know, ancient).

Today I'm going to see my doctor in a couple hours. I'm going to try to do a little yoga exercises this morning, then take a shower to get ready to go. I also have to go to the library to return a couple movies. I think dance class sounds like great fun. Have a good day Mini! Poppy says "Purrrrrrrrrrr."

I wrote down your address in my diary. What do Poppy and Sam want for their birthday? For my birthday this year I want, well, a real pony. Mom said I can keep right on asking and she'll keep right on saying no. My other sister just got home from therapy with daddy. She always comes home with stuff to paly with and candy spray that doesn't have sugar in it. I want a real pony (don't look at me like that, mom), a few Barbies, and a real cat and a puppy. Dad said good luck with getting a cat. But if I have a dog, mom and dad better not wrap him up. I want a stethascope and a x-ray machine and that's all. My birthday is a very long way away and i will think of more stuff that I want.

I don't know the names of our dances that we are learning. We just started and my concert is, when did Mrs. Terri say mom? (May 17th) Yeah, May 17th at night. Mostly we do it three times, but this time we are only doing it one time. My brother and my mom are dancing, too. Mom is funny when she dances. My dad doesn't know if he has to dance, yet, but maybe so.

Dad said we had good school today and I didn't fuss about it much so I get to go outside to play when we finish our lunch. He even said it was OK if we get all muddy and nasty. Mom just made a ugly face about that one. I'm having a cheese and ketchup sandwich for lunch. (laughing) Mom just made another gross face because she says that's just plain nasty. She won't even make them for me, but dad will.

Ok, that's all I have to say. I go see Dr. Muffin on Friday and I want to pick a prize out of the prize chest but mom says I can't because I got one last time. I'll ask Dr. Muffin because Dr. Muffin will let me pick one if I want to. Ut-Oh, mom's making another face. (laughing). Bye everybody!

I got face paint with stamps. Then i to a Strawberry Shortcake. I got some new medicine. A different pill and a different other one that is liquid and I don't know if it will be good or not. We are going to have a suprise tomorrow for all us kids but mom and dad won't tell us what it is. My dad had to go see a client and mom said he better be home for dinner. And really that's it.

Thank you so much. My dad said no cards came in the mail yesterday for my birthday. My dad says maybe it's because I always jump up in my chair by the window and bark at the Postman. I have a very big day planned. My dad is taking me to the park to play with my friends Frankie, Lola, Rolo and Cooper. Frankie is my girlfriend. We run and run until we are so tired that I fall asleep in my dad's lap on the ride home. I can't wait.

After that my dad is going to take me to Petco. My dad says he doesn't like to go there cause it drove his friend's pet store out of business. I said I don't care cause they have neat stuff and I told him he can't be a commie forever, so get over it.

I hope dad picks up some soup bones for my birthday. I like to bury them in the couch. Where do you bury your birthday presents?

Post by: Dachshund on January 14, 2008, 09:30:42 am: Hi Mini it's me Sam. I wanted to tell you what I did this weekend for my birthday. Saturday I met my friend Frankie at the park. We ran around and around and when my dad wasn't looking I got to roll around on a dead squirrel. It's weird though every time I get to roll around on dead things I end up having to get a bath >:(. I don't know why, because to me I smell great. After that we went to the store where my dad buys my food. My dad says the same dumb thing every time we go. "Your food costs more than mine Sam, and you're driving me to the poor house!" I can't even drive.

Yesterday my dad wanted to watch football. He's a big Colts fan. I guess he was mad at the TV cause he kept yelling and screaming at it. All I know is he thinks the Colts suck. He said if it would keep me quiet I could play with my stuffed toy. Boy was that fun! I tore all the stuffing out of it plus two plastic thingies that made it squeak. My dad said he would regret letting me chew up my toy in the morning.

This morning I threw up. My dad said, "Sam I told you so."

We can't play in the snow because it is too cold outside and mom said I can't breathe right if it is cold. We are getting some new meds for me from Walmart. Post by: minismom on January 15, 2008, 05:02:40 pm: We did not get my meds before dance class because it was taking forever and forever and forever (ok, that's enough, mim). We had to sit and it was very boring doing nothing. There were people there so I talked to them and they liked it. I had on a hat that my mom made and my dance teacher said she wanted it but it was too small for her head. It snowed and we all got to go sledding on our new disc thingy that Nana brought to us. I went all the way down the hill and into the ditch at the bottom by the road. Mom yelled at dad out of the door because he said he would catch me and he missed. I did not get hurt, though. I was the very first person outside, right mom? (no, the second) Oh, yeah, right, I was the second one outside but I was the last one inside to take my bath. Now it is getting dark and it is almost time for us to eat. Then, we have to get ready for bed. My sister and brother and mom are sick. They have nose issues and they are coughing. My sister and brother have to take my yucky meds that I took when I had nose issues. The ones I had to take before I went to the doctor.

Mom showed me my new meds and my pill is REALLY BIG! It's yellow. My yukky med is white and doesn't smell at all.

I'm going to play now. BYE!

I'm Sharkdiver but some people have nicknamed me Sharkie. I want to say that I am proud of you for keeping up with the dancing. I started dancing when I was your age and when I went to college I danced with a professional company. I even got a second Master's degree in Choreography and Creative Dance for Children.

I am also a speech therapist and I work in a clinic with kids. I help kids who have autism, CP, learning problems and some who can't even talk (yet). We have OTs, PTs and music therapists at my work. Pretty much it looks like I get to play all day long, especially when I get to work in out giant OT gym. My favorite thing is our scooter board ramp.

I always thought it would be cool to do my speech work with kids who also have HIV, just like you and me. I would also love to teach creative dance to kids with HIV.
What do you think??????

We are picking up my brother and going to Ryan's and then going to the movies. I would be in your dance class but how far away is California from West Virginia? If it's not too far then my mom or dad could drive me there for classes. I don't do speech therapy just physical therapy. My therapy teacher's name is Mrs. Joan and she's very nice and always brings me toys and my sugar-free candy for when i do all my exercises right and don't complain about it. I don't like it sometimes because it hurts. My sister doesn't talk yet and she used to be in speech but not any more she's not but she still doesn't talk. She mostly screams or laughs and she likes to lick and kiss. She likes her noopie, too. (pacifire). That's all I have to say because I have to go find my shoes and I don't know where they are and that makes mom and dad mad because I don't keep up with my stuff and put my stuff away.

It's black and long and mom wraps it round and round my neck till it covers up my mouth. My dad said that my hair is just like Blackjack's and when my hair grows back he's gonna shave me bald so mom can make a scarf from my hair and send it to Blackjack to keep him warm because now he's all NEKKED! I love math A LOT and always help my friends with it. I am also good at doing math in my head and at remembering dates and phone numbers, too! ;D

I take two pills every night at bedtime and it has been pretty easy to do. I used to take 20 pills a day, but thank goodness for all of the great doctors. They have done good work and now people like you and me and everyone on the computer here can take medicine to keep us healthy! I have been taking pills for 14 years and I am also diabetic, too!

I was 11 when I got diabetes and I had to test my blood sugar and take shots of insulin as well. Just about 1-1/2 ago I started on an insulin pump. It has insulin in it and you only get one shot every three days from it. It sticks on your tummy like a band-aid, its like a little plastic case, about half the size of a hard boiled egg. I have a remote control for it so I can push buttons and take more insulin at meal time. Its pretty neat, but it takes a lot of math to get it figured out. Good thing I like math so much.

I wanted to show you a picture of my dog, Cheech. He is taking a break from a run in the picture, that's why his tongue is hanging out so much, but at least he looked at the camera for the picture. He is an Australian Shepherd and Alaskan Spitz mix. I got him at the local shelter almost 14 years ago when he was a little pup. His birthday is February 2nd, which is Groundhog Day. I think that your Mom's birthday is the same day, right? ;) Cheech will be 14 years old soon. I told him how much you like dogs and animals, so he said to tell you Hello for him.

Its nice to read about what you do. I like to dance, too, but I REALLY like to sing, it makes me happy! I'll write more soon!

We're gonna eat a cake that we got in the mail from my dad's brother. It's purple and yellow and mom says it's nothing but sugar but dad said I can have a little piece. My sister saw the monkey spitting and now she's spitting on us and getting in trouble. She kissed the TV, too. That's all I have to say because nobody said anything to me yet so I'm going to eat my cake and we can finish the crazy monkey movie. My head hurts and i think I have fever but mom said i don't have a fever but I have a headache. I have to take some meds but not until closer to bedtime. That's what my mom said.

I got to check out books, too. And, I got to sit at the kid tables and read some books,too,and the lady librarian was very nice and even helped my brother find a book about Spiderman. I got a book about Butterflies and a book about snakes and one about Helen Keller and one about Luther Matin..what was his name? (Martin Luther King, Jr) Yeah, him, about when he was a boy until he was a man and got shot by a man or a lady (a man, hun). A man who didnt' like what he was doing even though what he was doing was a good thing, right mom? (right) Right! And Helen Keller was a baby and couldn't hear or see because she got sick but before she could see and hear but then she couldn't. But, she still learned to do sign language like my sister, except she can see and hear but just not talk. Oh, and Helen keller learned to talk, too. That's just impossible thing to do, but the book said she learned to talk and write and gave speaches and dance. My mom said the book is true so it is impossible but she did it because she did. And that's all because I'm on a break from watching the crazy monkey movie again. Bye!

I am going to make a Valentine card and send it to you. Today I am starving and my mom said that it means I'm feeling better. My dad said I stink and need a bath. ( :-\) I don't feel lke taking a bath, but dad said that's too bad.

Sam sent me a cartoon and a song about dancing. The man dances with a BEAR and the bear is wearing a DRESS! That was so funny!

Tomorrow I'm going to get my blood work done and i'm glad because I always get a treat from their. They have ugly bandaides and I told them they need to buy some pink ones with princesses on them. The lady said she would, but mom said she would bring one from home in case the lady forgot. I dont' scream or cry or yell or anything when they take my blood. I just tell them what arm I want to use and sit in the chair. Then, all my blood comes out, I get my treat, and we see the Dr. Muffin only tomorrow i won't go see Dr. Muffin. I just have to have my blood work because my meds made me itchy and spotted and have a fever and a headache.

That's all I have to say because now I have to take a bath and I don't want to and I want to cry but then I get in trouble. I don't want to take a bath or a shower. i have to go take a bath now. Bye.

That lady told my mom that she new the right place but my blood wouldn't come out of there and the lady stuck and stuck that pointy needle in my arm. My mom was getting really angry and I started laughing because I knew that lady was about to get into bad trouble when my mom looked at her with her angry face. My mom told that lady to take the needle out and try again but she just wouldn't listen. Then my mom got REALLY angry and told that lady to try the other arm. That lady finally listened and my mom showed her what vein to stick that pointy needle into and when she listened to my mom, my blood came out just fine. Mom said that I should get 2 stickers, but that lady only gave me 1 sticker and a ugly bandaide. Then we went to Subway.

I think I must know that crazy lady too! Or maybe the lady here is related to your lady. This lady doesn't always listen to where I tell her to stick the needle in my arm. I wish I could have your "angry" mommy with me sometimes to help out. ;D Isn't is nice that your mommy is watching out for you? Moms are good about doing that.

They usually take 4 or 6 tubes of blood from me when I have my blood checked. Afterwards I don't get a bandaid, but the lady does wrap some colored stretchy tape about my arm to hold the cotton down till the bleeding stops. I think the green tape is prettier than the blue tape (because it matches the color of my car, although the blue would match my eyes). I'm going to have to have to find out why I don't get any stickers though! That would be cool!

I hope all your itchy rash is gone soon!

Actually we don't bring them their lunch some other people do, but we are making cards for them, though. I have Buddy and Poppy on my refrigerator.

It is raining and snowing here today so we can't go to Walmart. Mom said that tomorrow will be cold and sunny and we can go to Walmart and I can get something done with my hair. Mom said that maybe I need barretts or something. People keep calling me a boy and mom doesn't like that but I don't care I just tell them I'm a girl or I don't tell them nothing.

That's all I have to say. We are all late starting school today because, well, I don't know why but we are. Mom said we have to start soon or we'll have the whole day wasted. I don't like school and playing is better. Bye!

I went and got my hair cut yesterday. It's bald in the back. (It is NOT bald - it's called a wedge). And, I got new barretts that mom puts in my hair. Dr. Muffin sent my numbers in the mail and they were good. I'm having a big x-ray to see all my bones and guts on Tuesday. I'm gonna ask them if they will give me a cd of my bones and guts like they did with my brains. i dont' have to smell gas or get an IV or go to sleep or anything. I just have to lay down and be really still. Then, I have to have my bloodwork again.

You all have HIV, right, like me? But not your pets, right? Mom said they don't but told me I could ask. That's all I have to say! BYE!

This thing went "rrrrrrrrrrrrr" and went up and down over me and then the lady said she wished all her patients are like me. Then she cut off my yellow bracelet that had my name on it and also my birthday. Then we walked a really long way to have my bloodwork done. I told the lady to stick the pointy needle in my big fat vein and not in a wimpy vein. The lady that was there the last time that wouldn't listen wasn't there this time. It was a different lady who listened and poked me in my fat vein. It didn't even hurt and I didnt' have to yell or cry. At the end, she gave me a bandaide that matches me slippers. I didn't wear my slippers to the hospital but the bandaide LOOKED like my slippers - it just happened that way. Then we went to the food court and I ate a apple and drank some juice. Then we went home.

Oh, yeah, and at dance class i was playing when my brother was dancing and I got a splinter in my hand. I got the big part out, but part of it is stuck in there and when my Nana and my mom tried to take it out with a pointy needle from mom's box and those grabby picker things (tweezers) I screamed like a GIRL. Well, I am a girl, but I don't like to scream like one. The little part is still in my hand and is gonna stay there forever or 'till mom tries to dig it out again and I'm gonna scream loud in her ear like I'm dyin'!

I got some new shoes, too. They are converse black and white hightops. My brother got some but they are red. My other sister got some but they are not high tops they are low like regular shoes. Ms. Beth called (can I say Ms. Beth? Yes, hun, there's lots of Ms. Beths in the world.) Ms. Beth called and said there is a sale somewhere. When my daddy gets home from his client's house, then we're gonna go shopping. So, now I have to go get dressed and I'm gonna wear my black high-top shoes because they are my favorite. I like my Tinkerbell shoes, but they aren't new like my black ones are.

I had my labs yesterday and it was boring. I went in by myself and I screamed really loud when that lady stuck me. It didnt' hurt, I just wanted to see what she would do if I screamed. Mom said that wasn't nice. It was funny and i started laughing when the nurse jumped and made a face.

Then we had to go to the eye doctor who is Dr. Moffitt's honey, but his name is Dr. Bradford. I told him that I am going to see Dr. Moffett on Friday and if he wanted to write her love letter, then I would bring it to her. He laughed, but he never did write a letter to Dr. Moffett. I'm going to tell her about what I said.

My sister (I still can't say her name, right mom? Right, hun.). Ok my sister who is the littlest has to wear glasses now and one of her eyes does crazy stuff and she might have to wear a pirate patch. Her glasses are pink and have a strap in the back. Everybody in my whole family wears glasses now except for 1 of my brothers. (can I tell Sam what Paw-paw calls him because it's not his name? Sure). Ok, my Paw-paw calls him Benny and he's 5 and the only one who doesn't wear glasses. My biggest brother is supposed to wear glasses but he told mom and dad that he lost his glasses while we were at dinner. I mean, he didn't lose them while we were eating dinner, he just TOLD mom and dad that he lost them while we were sitting at the table eating dinner. I mean (they get it, dear...move on)

I have to go now because mom made a chocolate pie! Maybe she'll make one and we can bring it to Mexico or mail it to you if you aren't going to be in Mexico. Just don't roll iin it - you'll have to take a bath. Or your dad will like to lick you clean! hehe
