Worried About Possible Infection
« on: August 20, 2012, 03:07:49 am »
Hello guys,

About 2 months ago I had sex with four different girls and wore a condom. To my knowledge the condoms never broke. However, during one encounter after intercourse, the girl took the condom off with her bare hands and put a new condom on my penis. I was kinda drunk at this point and I think her hands made contact with my penis several times.

Anyways, I have been getting some symptoms that I want to ask about. My biggest worry is what appears to be pimple like lumps that appeared on my legs near my feet and on the calves. These pimples are not going away and I think they are dermatofibromas or something. I am also getting the same pimples on my stomach, shoulders, and arms. These weird pimples would start out as light red and pinkish spots and become hard and eventually turn into a lump. I have noticed that these hard lumps would dissapear and leave some scars when scratched. These scars would have small skin like rings on them and eventually dissapear. In total i have about a dozen of these. What can this be? I heard that dermatofibromas are hiv related.

Another thing I noticed is my bad reaction to mosquito bites. These bites occured 2 to 4 weeks after my last sex act. I would get larger mosquito bites than normal that would leave scars. Could larger mosquito bites mean hiv?

I haven't felt tired or anything, but I have been pretty stressed out and continously looking for symptoms. It has been 2 months since my last exposure and I haven't gotten swollen lymph nodes or anything like that. I think I got a fever for a couple of days 2 to 3 weeks after my last exposure.

I am to afraid to get a test and I have been reading a lot of stuff on the internet.

Again my biggest worry are these pimple like lumps that would leave scars and my poor reaction to mosquito. (I get bit by mosquitos a lot and usually have very mild symptoms)

Thanks guys.

Nothing you are reporting would have put you at risk for HIV. The essential thing is that you used condoms for intercourse. You would have known if one had failed because it's not subtle when that happens. The whole thing goes and ends up looking like a hoop with fringe on the penis.

There is nothing even remotely HIV-specific about any of your symptoms. Just a bunch of what ifs that you're scaring yourself unnecessarily about. If any of them persist you should discuss them with your doctor.

This is definitely not an HIV situation. Period. Get on with your life and keep using those condoms everytime for vaginal or anal intercourse.
