I've just spent Monday afternoon through this afternoon with pneumonia. Breathing treatments ever four hours and IV's every four hours after that. More meds on top of the 10 I'm also on. It was intents.
This has been my second time going to emergency and did not know I would be locked away for 4 days. The hospital had an open computer to send messages out, I did, there were no responses from work.
Two nurses looked on my Dog and Cat.
Glad to be home with the animals. People who looked in on my Dog and Cat (nurses in the hospital) helped me to cope with no having friends to do that job. I know it's my fault that I do not feel that I have any one who I can ask for help in the gay community.

That sounds truly horrible. I've had pneumonia a few times and it's not fun.
Sucks being stuck in the hospital so glad to hear your home with your animals. I'm sure they really missed you.
Hugs,
AA

sorry to hear that you're been so sick; but I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better. Escaping from the hospital is always a good thing. LOL Take care, and do keep us posted on your recovery ;)

I always drag a trip to the hospital as a measure of last resort as I hate th words "ugh, we'll be keeping you for observation/immediate treatment...
Glad you're home and the animals didn't have to suffer.

Glad to be out there also. Driving home was a bit much. Today, my arches and knees hurt so much.. I spent 3 days laying in bed. I sent emails everyday to my management. I got no acknowledgment at all,
When i came back to wok it was like nothing happened. My manager laughed at parts when I described my experience. She ridiculed me.

Glad to hear that you had such wonderful and thoughtful nurses.
Hope you get rid of the Pneumonia quickly. How long did they say it would take before your well again?
All the best

I was in bed for 3 months with PCP...that was when I learned HOW MUCH OXYGEN OUR BODIES REALLY NEED JUST TO SIT UP IN BED!!! As soon as I was better, I started jogging again and relishing the feel of being able to take deep breaths again!! I WILL NEVER TAKE MY LUNGS FOR GRANTED AGAIN! Im glad you are better...pneumonia sucks!

Larry, good to hear your home, and your pets are Ok. Those nurses were very kind. There are many people like that in this world, we are blessed when they fall into our lives. Pneumonia certainly can drain you of energy, mentally and physically. No doubt when you got help, it felt good to give in, and let the doctors take charge.
Hope your health continues to improve, I'm sure those pets of yours missed you!
