Below is a report on the heartbreaking search for possible survivors or even the dead.  There is even a dog that rushed to rescue workers and leads them back to its injured or sick canine friend.  I've seen this before where dogs will try to take care of another injured dog.  I can't imagine searching, calling out for people to respond, and leaving.  I would always wonder whether there was someone alive, but just couldn't respond.

This is by far the worst of the tsunami videos I've seen -- evidently it not surfaced on line until a few days ago.

Jesus that's terrifying, and it seems so slow and placid.

I don't know if the person filming the video was on a structure or an embankment but I don't think I would be standing around filming if I was in that situation.

I was thinking the exact same thing while watching it but during a Tsunami I guess high ground is the only safety you can reasonably find?

He she may have had no choice. May have been trapped there and just took the highest most stable building as refuge. Since we have the video we can assume he she survived, thank god. How terrifying.

When the tsunami a few years ago hit the Maldives whole islands when under water. Imagine!
