sinus infection .
« on: March 03, 2008, 03:56:06 pm »
My boyfriend is hiv positive and lately he has been complaining about having a runny nose a lot of the time and his ears hurt a bit, we have an appointment to the doctor the 17 th of march.
He hasnt started taking medication yet since his ct4 are 490 and his viral load is fine.
Could this mean ( the sinus) something worse that what it seems, like some type of cancer, or you guys think is just part of being hiv positive.
Sorry for being so clueless., if you guys have any advice i appreciate it.

sinus issues for most positive people seems to be a way of life, personally I wouldn't get too worried about it, especially since you've said you'll be going to the quacks in the next few weeks... Of course like most things, if it ends up worrying you, you should get to the doctors earlier

You could use things like Eucalpytus (vicks vapourrub), which will help clear things out a bit

Hang on a minute, cancer?!  Take a breath.

I've had sinus problems for years.  I also smoke.  We can't diagnosis over the intanetz, so the best thing is to see the doctor.
