Cunnilingus risk?
« on: July 27, 2012, 02:07:01 pm »
Hey everyone--

I went out for my bachelor party last week, everything got a little wild (like most bachelor parties do) and during my "private show" with a stripper, I was allowed to perform cunnilingus on her for about a minute. There was a bit of fingering involved as well, but nothing was done to me. Thats all that happened.

I felt anxious/embarassed about my lapse in judgememt and visited the HIV Clinic in the city. The educator/nurse explained all hiv info to me, performed a rapid INSTI test on me, (which came out negative), then told me thats my result as it stands and that my recent bachelor party episode was not worth coming in for any further testing.

This eased my anxiety a bit but despite her telling me i was fine and that cunnilingus wasnt a risk, i still read on multiple sites and textbooks that it is indeed a risk.

Am i worrying about nothing? Can i just move on and get married and never do anything stupid again?

I hate reading conflicting information!

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Mark

You never had an HIV exposure from oral sex.

Just to reiterate, cunnilingus is NOT a risk for HIV.

Neither is fingering.

Thanks guys!
Continue your great work. This is easily one of the best resources out there. Some of the outdated information/misinformation out there is incredible.

Mark

Thank you!

Also, yeah. Sigh.

Sorry guys --

Even though I've had previous reassurance, I had a moment of worrying/anxiety towards the posted incident despite even being told in person at the IDC clinic that I did not need to have testing for this incident (and the testing at the clinic was only done to provide me with my current status - negative).

I guess just for my reassurance and piece of mind I need some tough love one more time…

I can move on with my life?

Thanks...

Stop with the drama now including surfing the net for more stuff to scare yourself with and all to no good purpose.

The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. That's it. Period.

Get on with your life. Really.

Alright, thanks Andy!

I actually felt ridiculous asking that question…

It's like going into a Math forum and repeatedly asking "Is 2+2 really 4?", expecting a different result.

Regards.

Guilt and anxiety can rot the brain.

Let it go, get on with your life and enjoy your wedding and married life. No cause for concern about that bachelor moment.
