Very concerned.. had sore/wound around genitals and had sex

I had protected vaginal sex with a woman that I didn't know very well, but she seemed fairly promiscuous. I know protected vaginal sex is pretty low risk, but what I'm concerned about is the fact that I had two pencil eraser sized sores/pimples/ingrown hairs/not sure exactly type wounds in the area between my upper thigh and upper genital region. Basically they weren't all that visible when I was standing up, but could be visible if I pull the my upper genital region (where most of the pubic hair is) to the side and opened my legs.

What I'm concerned about is the fact that these wounds were red and raised and that during sex I noticed vaginal secretions from the woman on my penis. So my question is this.. assuming she was positive what is the risk of this scenario? If some of the vaginal secretions had gotten onto those wounds?

After the encounter I took a thorough shower with soap and tried to see if I could cause any pus or blood to come out of the pimple/sore by pressing around the area. No pus or blood came out, but like I said earlier they were red and raised and had not yet scabbed at all. Should I get tested.. how big of a risk is this honestly? Should I consider PEP? This happened close to 24hrs ago now.

Listen, you had protected intercourse. You used a condom for that which is exactly what you are supposed to do. Condoms provide very effective protection against HIV transmission. And unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse are the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV.

All of the other details you are throwing into the mix about vaginal fluids getting into your pimples and such are totally irrelevant and non-risks. PEP is totally unwarranted for this incident that you are worrying about unnecessarily. Nor is any testing needed.

Keep using a condom everytime you have intercourse and you will be well protected against HIV sexually.

Having sores on your penis would only be a risk if you did not have a condom on.

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies.

Once outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect.

As long as the head of your penis was covered during intercourse, you did not have a risk.
