Hi-
Thank you for this site. I've learned a lot but I have a question I want to ask. I've seen other posts very similar to my question. I received a handjob 3 days ago at a massage parlor. Here's my worry that I am very scared about! I had two sores on my penis (one open and one scabbed). They were pretty small and aren't painful. Anyway the masseuse took her clothes off and masterbated herself and then did the same to me. I was not expecting this at all but went with the flow unfortunately. She also applied lotion to my penis. The day after I noticed that I needed to urinate more than usual. Yesterday I went and had a chlamydia and ghonorrea test done in the morning and just got them back and were negative. My urethra feels funny and I still have to urinate a lot. I'm worried I've contracted hiv. Do I need PEP? Is there a theoretical risk or no risk at all? I've read on other sites that there's a small theoretical risk. She masterbated me right after she did it to herself. So scared! :(

You did not have a risk and you absolutely do not need pep . These are the risk factors for HIV .
Sharing IV drug needles immediately after use.
Unprotected anal and vaginal sex.
Mother to child during or shortly after birth
Very specific healthcare situations.
ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME for this incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.
If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.
Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

That is correct , you do not need pep and you did not have a risk .

Thanks very much. One more question. Is this based on IF the girl had HIV? Let's just say she has HIV. Is your answer still the same???

RJack, our responses in evaluating a potential risk are ALWAYS based on the assumption that the other person is HIV+.
HIV is a fragile virus and is not transmitted in a viable form through masturbation. Further, even if the woman was positive, the area in the vagina where HIV clusters is in the cervical area, high up in the vagina and not around the lower end of the vaginal cavity.
You are worrying needlessly. Real risk sexually is about unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Period.
