HIV in Precum
« on: September 25, 2010, 11:00:39 pm »
Hey Guys.

Just have a quick scenario, kind of freaking out about it.

Hooked up with a guy.  Went down on him, for about 5minutes (didn't taste precum, and didnt have cuts in my mouth).  Then he started masterbating with lube in his hand (might up pushed up precum).  Then he fingered me for about 2 minutes, with the same hand.  Then with the same hand put on a condom and masterbated a little, there was lube on his penis and on the condom.  Then he went inside of me, did me for about 3 minutes, with the condom.  Didn't cum.  After I left and went home, I noticed I had some blood on my butthole, he's pretty thick.  Also, I have a small hemerroid that sometimes bleeds.  Sorry, if that's gross.

So I'm just thinking that if precum did get on his finger/condom, he might of exposed me since I had a cut, with blood.

Should I be worried from precum infection from this scenario?

Thanks for listening.

AB,

Nothing you've described here is a risk for HIV infection. HIV is a fragile virus, which is difficult to transmit. Precum on fingers which touch your bunghole (even if you have a haemorrhoid) will not give you HIV. Same goes for condoms.

The essential fact in all of your details is that the other guy was wearing a condom the entire time he penetrated you. The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Everything else is strictly "theoretical" in terms of risk.

Make sure that the insertive partner is always wearing a condom for intercourse and you will be well protected.

There's no cause for concern over the other details you have mentioned. Nor any need for testing. However, other STDs are much easier to acquire so we do recommend that anyone who is sexually active ought to at least annually have a full STD panel done.

Thanks for the replies.  Makes me feel a lot more relaxed.

Was just reading online that hiv can be spread from precum so i just started freaking out.  And since I have blood, it just got my mind all twisted.

Doubts and fears aren't facts. Keep it simple and stop reading on the web. Given your anxiety, all you are going to do is to find more to feed your worst fears and all to no good purpose.

Hey Information people.

Quick questions.  Can HIV be transmitted via saliva?  Can it be transmitted from Precum?

Hooked up with a guy, he said he's hiv neg, and i kind of trust him.  But he's an online person.

We messed around.  He kissed me all over, then ate me out a bit, then didn't really finger me but played with my butt hole.  Didn't seem to precum a lot, but didn't all accurately check.  He did me, but of course wore a condom.  With lots of lube, made sure of that.  I pulled him out right before he came, and he came in the condom, while jacking himself off.

Anything to worry about?  Hitting you guys up before I google it, but when I do that its always crazy answers.

Thanks for your help with this and sorry for being so descriptive.

A

Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

Precum can infect you but ONLY when the penis is inside your anus when it is emitting precum. What you two did was not a risk for hiv infection. You used a condom and that's the right thing to do when having anal intercourse.

You did not have a risk and you do not need to test.

Hey Guys,

Reaching out to experts for piece of mind.

Hooked up with a guy on Monday, his place.  Both got naked.  Masterbated a bit, just played with each others dicks.  Then I acted like I was going to sit on his dick, he just played with my butt hole but didn't penetrate, just "edged" i guess.  While we masterbated I didn't notice any precum on his penis, but I don't know.  He didn't go inside of me fully cause I would of felt, but what if he stuck part of his head in.

I had sex on Sunday, I was penetrated with condom, so I was a bit sore on my butt.  Maybe have small cuts on the butt hole?  I'm thinking.

Do you guys thing I was exposed to HIV?  If he's positive, he said he's not, but I don't know.  If there's HIV in precum and he touched his penis to my butt hole, could he have exposed me?

Just freaking out a bit.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

AB

AB, neither touching or rubbing are risks for HIV transmission. But penetration is a risk so you need to be clear about what happened. If you have any doubts about whether penetration took place, then I would say get tested. You can do it initially at 6 weeks. A negative at that point is a strong indication that you will test negative at 13 weeks.

From what you have described I think it is unlikely you were penetrated but you have to make that decision.

Hey Andy, I know he didn't fully penetrate, I would felt it.  I'm asking if he did touch my butt hole with his head and there might of been precum on there, could I have been exposed?

No, his penis "touching" or rubbing against your butthole is not a risk for transmission.

Dear Professionals.

Quick recap.  I've been running so I have chaffed skin on my inner thighs.  I ran yesterday and it got a little irritated, no blood or anything, but my skin is chafed and red.  Last night I hung out with this guy and we masterbated.  We didn't do anything else but he had precum and touched my butt, and legs, and might of touched my inner thighs.  If he had precum on his hand and touched the chafed area, do I have a risk of HIV exposure?  He said he was HIV negative, but you  never know.  Really freaking out about it.  Worried.

Its not a risk, no matter how many times you ask the question the answer will not change . We have made it clear that sexual fluids once outside the human body are not a risk for HIV .
