Spiderman On Broadway With Bono
« on: November 29, 2010, 01:00:47 am »
Saw this tonight on "60 Minutes".  This musical looks like it is going to be a good one.  It is costing $60 Million to produce--mostly due to all the flying and special-effects.  Bono is playing a big role, too.  I'd like to know how Spiderman throws a web from his hands.  Maybe it just looks like he's throwing it.

While I'm on here and talking entertainment news, I just heard Leslie Neilsen died at age 84.  I always enjoyed his movies.  And, he played Blanche's uncle who married Dorothy in the finale of Golden Girls.

Tedderz, why do I get the impression that you do nothing but watch TV?

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

I do watch too much I'm sure.  However, in my defense, I mostly watch news and educational TV.

Mike, you're right that watching so much news is due to working in TV news.  I left the station I worked for after several disagreements.  The final straw came when a reporter was sent to Michigan to do a hit-job against Michael Moore.  It wouldn't have been a problem if the report was of any substance.  He got all these people to say that hated Moore, that Moore didn't pay people who appeared in his documentaries, and the reporter used footage/info that was from a conservative think-tank.  I don't believe people who appear in documentaries are normally paid--just like reputable news agencies don't pay for interviews.  The reporter is a huge conservative along with the male lead anchor and the station GM.  I believed they were in cahoots with that conservative think-tank.  I couldn't understand sending a report from Louisville to Michigan to do a hit-job on anyone when we have so many issues here in Louisville.  Keith Olbermann recently had on a man who worked for the health insurance industry who admitted his job was to spy on Moore and make up lies to discredit him.

Having said that, I've had an offer from another station here in town.  I'm thinking about returning.

I caught that segment. it was kinda odd watching that guy explain to MM why he had been a prick and had defamed him, and MM trying to stay gracious (so he could learn more ;) )

and I say go back on air.  ;)
and let us know so we can watch webclips of you online.  :D :D
