HIV Risk question

I think I know the answer to this. But here is what happen I(while male), had unprotected sex(if you could call it that) with a white female. But the sex was short ~30 seconds are less. I stopped because I did not feel right without a condom.

The female told me, she was clean and was tested in the last month. She get's tested 2 times a year because she had cervical cancer in the past, and does a STD/HIV  test at the same time.

I am in southeastern Kentucky.  The board of heath said between 2005-2009 only ~156 new HIV cases(for white women) where reported in the whole state (I know theres more white women that got HIV in KY between 2005-2009).

I also know that F-to-M has a risk ~1/2,000

I know I should test at weeks 8, and 13, and use a condom every-time.

Ok,

There are several kinds of fail in your OP (original post).

1. Please don't use terms like "clean" to refer to a person's HIV status. It suggests that those of us who have HIV infection are dirty. As an HIV positive person I object to this characterisation.

2. Lay off the racial labels. Whilst different racial populations can have different prevalence rates of HIV infection it really doesn't translate to individual sexual encounters. It's what you do that matters not who you're doing it to.

3. Don't get carried away with quantifying supposed risks in number form. The "1/2000" value you quote is just meaningless in real terms.

With that out of the way, let's look at what you did, shall we?

I'm assuming you had unprotected vaginal sex. Unprotected vaginal sex is indeed a risk for HIV infection. But, for the male, that risk is not particularly great. 30 seconds of unprotected fucking is not really something to freak out about.

But, that said, this is HIV we're talking about and so you should be tested for HIV 13 weeks from the date of this sexual encounter. I would expect you to test negative for and so should you.

You might also want to be tested for other STDs such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea. These are far more prevalent and transmissible than HIV. You should ask your doctor or clinic for a full sexual health screen.

Sorry about the wording. I was just trying the give clear information on what happen.

But thanks for your help. I did talk to a doctor, and he said "that my risk was to small to take PEP, and that I should not worry about anything"

Sounds like a plan there. Your doctor is right, PEP is certainly not warranted in this case.
