Matt Lauer Interviews GW Bush About His New Pop-up Book
« on: November 09, 2010, 01:00:21 am »
So, I watched the interview tonight.  Not much surprised me.  I think Matt went way too easy on him, but perhaps that is due to Jenna Bush working for the Today Show now.  Perhaps that is why Matt got the first interview??  It always upsets me how the media gives Bush and his administration a pass on 9/11.  I would have asked why they ignored warnings, why didn't they hold one counter-terrorism meeting prior to 9/11, or why they mocked Richard Clark who was trying to warn them.  But, that's just me.  Bush claimed in the interview he had NO idea that terrorists were planning something or planning to use planes.  Bullshit!  They had run clips on Today that didn't air tonight.  One was how Cheney was pissed at Bush for not pardoning Scooter, but rather commuting his sentence.  Cheney said, "How can you leave a solider to die on the field?"

In other TV news, Conan premiered tonight on TBS.  Not bad.  It seems Antoine Dodson is the new announcer for George Lopez??  Or at least just for tonight.  They also had him doing sketches where he was outside a Chinese Buffet saying they better, "Hide their meat, hide their vegetables, etc".  You guys will remember Antoine from Alabama.  But I digress.

Here is the Bush interview if you're interested
