Possible risk behaviour
« on: July 04, 2017, 07:11:02 pm »
I recently seen a sex work from Bangcok, Thailand, here in Australia. She was 32 yrs old and said that she a 6yr old kid back home and had been coming to Australia for several years working as sex worker for a couple of weeks at a time. She claimed to get tested as it was a 'requirement back home'. The sexual contact I'm concerned about are

- prior to a condom being place on me she jumped on top and rubbed up and down my penis with her vagina. After a few minutes she placed a condom for protective sex. At no stage did my penis went into her vagina unprotected.
- I couldn't cum, she removed the condom and produced to give me a hand job. Whilst rubbing my penis with her right hand she went with her left hand and rubbed her vagina then used that hand also to rub my penis during the hand job. I wasn't sure if she was doing this to get me horny or not or to use any excess lubricant.
- When i couldn't cum she placed a few fingers into a condom on her left hand and went about rubbing my anus and also inserting them into my anus. During this she continued with the hand job and also with rubbing her vagina  with her right and rubbing my anus as the left hand was working my anus.

After finishing I checked my anus and didn't notice any blood. I was concerned as prior to this my anus had been sore but I hadn't notice any blood whilst on the toilet. My penis had no sores or cuts and I am uncircumcised as well.

This happened less than 36hrs ago and I'm still within the time limits for PEP. As this involves the anus and I normally don't have things placed up there I'm concerned that she rubbed her vagina using my excess lubricants or vagina 'juices' (sorry can not find the right wording) as lubricant whilst inserting her fingers into my anus. The state I live in as a risk matrix regarding PEP and of course full anal sex is quite high risk behaviour but this wasn't full anal sex. Should I see a doctor and discuss PEP?

Hi

Nothing you posted here was a risk for HIV transmission.

She inserted her fingers in your anus, nobody has ever been infected from fingering and you will not be the worlds first, you concern about fluids is also unwarranted as HIV is not infectious once exposed outside the human body, the receptors needed to infect are damaged leaving it unable to infect you.

The rubbing was also likewise no risk.

You do understand I hope that all of this is irrelevant. HIV can affect anyone regardless of Class, Wealth, Social standing, Sexual orientation, Race, Ethnicity, Gender or Age. HIV is simply a virus and doesn't care about such matters.

Also it doesn't matter what sort of risk your partners have had in the past, or what work they do or the past test results they had, the only thing that matters is what you do with them and your risk behaviours and activities.

In this case nothing you mentioned stood out as a HIV risk, you did have risks for other easier to transmit STI's but no need to panic, that is the risk of having sex and just test as you normal would for STI's no need to run out and test or worry.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim
