Very worried about flu like symptoms
« on: July 29, 2012, 08:30:05 am »
Hi I am 21, bisexual male, I just started to do sex and other stuff last month. Lately I have been really feeling ill , gets tired easily, have occasional mild fevers, and sometimes feels nausea, especially when I go outside. (Its summer peak in Italy now). I also noticed some few wart like things on my scotum. Anyways, I never had unprotected anal sex. In fact I did it only once and the other guy used condom. I did gave him oral sex w/out condoms on 4 separate instances without him ejaculating on my mouth. The other event was only hard kissing w/ another guy. I am really worried lately, I started to feel these flu like symptoms two weeks ago w/c I think peaked this week. I am really worried that this might be worse than a simple flu or cold.

JULY
1st week
Hard kissing

2nd week
1st -Receptive anal w/ condom, giving oral sex
2nd- giving oral sex

3rd week - 2 instances of giving oral sex
something in my sinus that feel hot appears

4th week
started feeling tired, some cases of nausea, tolerable mild fever, small wart like dots on scrotum, flu like symptoms, sinus feels hot

Now I am really worried , restless, and having trouble sleeping at night thinking these symptoms may indicate the worse. I would appreciate any insights or any information of help. Thank you so much.

There is absolutely nothing in your "symptoms" which is HIV-specific. But that's not surprising since nothing you have reported of your sexual activities put you at risk for HIV.

The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you consistently use condoms properly for those activities you will be well protected.

If your symptos persist you should discuss them with your doctor. They have nothing to do with HIV.
