Unprotected Oral Sex with Canker Sore

What are the chances that I will acquire HIV through oral sex? I did it a lot of times with a guy. It lasted more than 10 mins but with intervals. We only did oral sex since I am aware that anal sex is a high risk activity for HIV. I'm on prep but only in an event-based dosage, 2-1-1...I've already taken prep for like 5 days already and in the 5th pill we have sex (oral)...I have canker sore a small one, in front in the lower jaw. What are the chance of me getting infected assuming there is precum.

On the next day, I have made another encounter with another guy who is HIV positive but undetectable, I still have a canker sore and on prep (my 6th pill) . Assuming he also has precummed in my mouth while I'm doing it. What are my chances for this scenario? Basically I've done it with two different guys.

Is it possible that symptoms like sore throat and fatigue come after 4 days? I'm aware that one of the reason of my sore throat is drinking a lot of cold water, and we did partying and swimming the night before I felt my sore throat. When is the right time to get tested since I'm taking prep, it's my 9th pill today. An honest assessment is appreciated.

In short, you have a small sore and gave two guys a blowjob. Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV from these blowjobs and you had no HIV risk from what you posted here, move on with your life.


Giving a blowjob, the mouth generally lacks a route for HIV to infect. The canker sore makes no difference and saliva also neutralises HIV by damaging the receptors needed to infect human cells. Giving a blowjob is such a minute HIV risk that it doesn't warrant testing outside of routine.

Move on with your life.

Here's what you need to know to reduce your HIV risks:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Continue to use PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV and get vaccinated against HPV, Hepatitis A & B.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier-acquired STIs. So please get tested routinely, ideally every three months as a PrEP user.

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms; testing is the only way to know.
