FEVER UTI SORE THROAT SKIN RASH
« on: January 20, 2017, 11:55:54 pm »
Good day to all!  :)

So this is what happened.

Last December 2016 I have come in contact with 3 guys semen through oral
I had never have any unprotected anal or vaginal
Just unprotected oral
My last encounter was 1 week before Christmas

Now January 4 2017 i woke up from 3hours of sleep, bathe in super cold water, stuck in a non airconditioned bus(so hot huhu) then had fever january 4 night and january 5 night and had diarrhea and my throat is sore

I did not regained my energy since. I was afraid this could be a symptom of HIV
January 11 2017 i got tested hiv and syphilis  and the result was negative. My counselor told me that hiv is asymptomatic.

I belived that and had my check up

First check up: doc 1 ENT said my throat was large i have tonsillitis and the cause might be from drinking cold drinks and eating sweets. I believed him.

2nd checkup: doc 2 Internal Med prescribed me antibiotics for my diarrhea and said i might have some virus with my body because of the interpretation of my cbc

On the next week, i felt really dizzy and tired i was rushed at the emergency room and had urinalysis and i have UTI

A (doc 3)doctor said i might be seroconverting despite showing him my hiv  test results which are negative,  he said that my antibiotics should have covered my infections down there. Which had me worried

2days after being confined i was cleared to go home.
On the next day i was tested for urilanysis cbc and dengue and fecalysis which all turned negative and normal.

Now im jus feeling better and normal at all but having rashes that are itchy and reddened, my doctor gave me co-aleva just to medicate the rash. My(doc 2) doc even said it does not look like a sti std but have to go back to her if coaleva does not make my rash disappear

My questions are: is my rash hiv related if my antibiotic wont work for it? Could it be an allergic reaction?

I was taking cipro tablet before i was confined and no rashes
When i was confined and they started injecting me IV CIPROFLAXIN i started to have these rash.

Im just worried about my status. But im just strong to what i Know which is i never had cuts and sores doing oral, never had unprotected insertive.

Hi

Look nothing you indicated symptoms wise is HIV specific and indeed most people experience none. We do not discuss symptoms here as its pointless.  Nothing you mentioned stood out as an particular risk either.

You had a negative HIV test result, so move continue to use condoms and test at least yearly for both STI's including but not limited to HIV.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim
